About the adventure

**FIRST SESSION FREE** The Wandering Fyre guild is looking for new recruits! Do you have what it takes to become a mercenary for the Guild? In exchange for going on dangerous adventures and completing jobs, you will receive monetary compensation, as well as access to the Guild's facilities: Traders with discounts, trainers for weapons and skills, an armory filled with magical weapons that cater to your class, transportation to and from the job, contracts with taverns and inns for pre-paid or discounted stays, and guild member resurrections, to name a few. For those that show exceptional skills and help the Guild grow, will gain access to their own private Guild Halls, where they can build it up to their heart's desire (as a Bastion). New and experienced recruits are welcome to apply. The Guild will assist in training of new recruits and will send a helper for the first few jobs. --- *PLEASE NOTE* This 3-session campaign is intended as an introduction to the guild and to allow players to check out what I have to offer before committing to a more long term campaign.

About me

Hello, I am MyrinFyre (my-RIN-fire). I've been DMing for decades, starting with a family game when I was a teenager. My dad introduced us to Pathfinder, then we jumped to 4.5e and I took over as DM from then on. I love story telling and weaving worlds and characters together. One of my passions is helping new players learn how to play and enjoy D&D. I have taken a DM class to allow me to DM at conventions, though I have not had the opportunity to run a table at a con yet. I have run groups both online and in person, with both new and experienced players and DMs, and love when the players are able to develop their characters during our adventures.

What MyrinFyre brings to the table

Storytelling and Roleplay are the main focuses. There will be plenty of combat and puzzles as well. While we try to stick to the written rules as much as possible, Rule of Cool is still allowed in many situations. I like to try to utilize ambient music and sounds to help immerse the players. While I can't do character voices as well, I will make it obvious when a character is speaking vs when I, as the DM, is speaking. Combat is pretty open. I like to narrate it as it's happening, with input from players on how their attacks hit. This is very beginner friendly. If you're new to D&D, this is a good way to get started.

Homebrew rules

Crit Fails are a thing during combat. At my table, crit fumbles during combat can result in an opportunity attack from any nearby creatures that have a reaction left. This counts for players as well, if an enemy fumbles an attack. These opportunity attacks are optional and reliant on reactions. All other rules apply as written and individual home rules may be discussed on a per group level.

How MyrinFyre creates a safe table
