About the adventure

A lighthearted one shot, with a few puzzles, a touch of combat and lots of shenanigans. The focus is mainly roleplay and investigation This is a game for 3rd level characters, pre-generated character sheets will be available. Its been a great day, fresh 500 gold in your pocket from your last adventure. You and the rest of your party have gathered in the very packed Black Satyr tavern for celebrations. One thing lead to another and after a long night of drinks & debauchery the party finds themselves in the middle of nowhere with no memory of the night before, missing most of their stuff and their last party member they have to put the pieces of what happened together to find their way home, get their money back and save their friend.

About me

Been playing d&d for a long time, when covid started I had the opportunity to have regular weekly games and I loved it. Unfortunately with my days off being Mondays and Tuesdays Im not able to get as much D&D as I want. I've tried making groups in LFG subreddits and Discord channels and while I've had some success, the bbeg of my games seems to be sudden scheduling issues. I was in paid games as a player during Covid and I felt they were a lot more enjoyable because rarly did a player not show up without 24 hours notice, almost everyone took notes and everyone felt invested into their characters. Getting 4-5 adults together for a game has been hard and I am hoping that with this I am able to play a higher quality of game with a consistent cast of people. Currently running a game for my Monday players, been playing with them for 5ish years, we did Rime of the Frostmaiden & Waterdeep as campaigns before as well as some homebrew creations.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will be using Roll20 as a VTT, if you are able to make a level 3 character then you are free to do so using 2014 rules, standard array for stats. It is just a one shot so no backstory required. We will assume the party has been traveling before, this last mission was just a particularly successful one

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Roll20 and Discord accounts would be required. For preparation either having a sheet ready or to be okay with a pre-made character.

What Mike brings to the table

I do lean more on the Rule of Cool. I will have pre-made character sheets for people. I do use Rhythm for background music. This one shot will be on the more goofy, lighthearted side of things. If you seen the Hangover movies think that but d&d.

Safety

How Mike creates a safe table

X, N, & O would be messaged. I'll give a run down on potential triggers. I'll also stick around after session to chat and decompress or just yap with anyone that wants to. Open doors, if you need a break for any reason let me know, I'll ask if you'd like us to all pause or keep going privately.
