About the adventure

Brand new level 5-15 campaign set in the Warcraft universe (D&D 5e ruleset.) This campaign will emphasize "rule of cool" more than my typical campaign, but we generally play RAW (rules-as-written) during combat encounters. Adventure takes place in the current Warcraft timeline, near the beginning of the Midnight expansion. This is a brand new campaign written by the GM that respects the Warcraft canon but uses existing lore to create an original story. Exarch Akama leads an interstellar expedition to other worlds within Azeroth's solar system, with cooperation from Horde engineers (mostly goblins) who seek to learn more about nearby planetoids. When the demons invaded they seemed confident that all the nearby worlds had been conquered or destroyed, but those planets may still be rich with useful resources. A cosmic encounter sends your ship crashing down into an unexplored world called Kronus, where you will encounter several demonic factions at war with one another as the Demon Lords rip each other to pieces in an attempt to rule the entire Legion. Will you align with one faction to topple the others or face their combined wrath? Kronus is an original setting, a planet within Azeroth's solar system that was conquered by demons during the Third War. The enslaved locals are often used as weapons by the Burning Legion, but they despise their demon overlords as much as they fear them. Some creatures/characters are taken from spin-off sources like Hearthstone, and some are original creations of the GM. You are welcome to use 3rd party character options with approval by the GM, but I generally ask that you flavor spells/abilities with Warcraft flair rather than actually change the mechanics. I may be willing to accept a mechanics change if you ask. Game details: • Animated spells & weather effects. • High-resolution maps and tokens. • Voice acting for NPCs. • Ambient soundscapes and music. • Hosted on Foundry for gameplay, Discord for voice chat. Webcam optional. • Standard D&D 5e ruleset (2024 edition) with an emphasis on rule-of-cool and Warcraft lore. • Deep and interactive environment with lots of sandbox gameplay potential. • Discord used to chat with group members in between sessions. • Newcomers are welcome to join at any point during the adventure.

About me

Stop worrying about schedule issues, and start having fun! This tabletop community is LGBTQ+ friendly and supportive. I have a BA in creative writing and worked as a professional writer for years before committing to being a full-time Game Master. Running fun games is my passion, and I love to immerse myself in the lore of the worlds we inhabit together. I offer a premium experience with animations, high-resolution maps, voice acting, and a committed GM who takes the time to integrate your character into the world. I am generally a rules-as-written GM but I love to reward creative solutions and problem solving. You can expect that I will stick to the rulebook, especially in a combat scenario. I take a hard stance against generative A.I. for in-game content. Some game listings may use generated art, but all stories and encounters are personally designed by me without the assistance of A.I. prompts.

Safety

How David Lindsay creates a safe table

This game will use session 0 to set boundaries and ensure a fun experience for any type of player. I use D&D 5e rules (2214 edition) and any official sourcebook is allowed. I do reward creative problem solving within the system and will often defer to the "rule of cool" especially if something makes sense in the Warcraft lore.
