About the adventure
Murder Mystery Dinner Party is a Mystery-Adventure in a limited space, with the first adventure taking place in a Gatsby-style mansion at a dinner party involving eccentric idiots, crazy socialites, and ridiculous stereotypes! The night opens with your character arriving at the dinner party for one reason or another. Examples could include, you invited yourself for free drinks, you know the host a little and were accidently sent an RSVP, etc. Obviously, one of the NPCs at the party winds up dead in someplace, in some way, at some time. Player Characters then use whatever skills and talents they possess to narrow the scene down, as for one reason or another, the police cannot be called and no one may leave without vindication. Interview all party members, collect notes, read lies, inspect clues, and eliminate suspects. Using a provided tool for crossing off suspects, narrow it down to the guilty party so they can be properly dealt with, and then go home. This will not go to a court of law, so things like manners of evidence collection and chain of custody aren't to be worried about. But, you want to be sure you are right, because, in the event you are wrong, an innocent person is harmed and a guilty one goes free! The answer to the Mystery is given after the fact, where it is revealed what clues you missed, lies that snuck by, and if you actually got the real culprit! About me
I am a longtime TTRPG GM that loves Pathfinder & GURPS, with a large library of books, art assets, and time to share with my players, it is my favorite thing to do. I am a huge fan of roleplay and often modify mechanics to benefit storytelling & session fluidity. I use Foundry VTT, which is free to my players, and includes vast customization options for every campaign & every participant. Please take a look at this Google Sheet for all of my GURPS games: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OIi-Yp_5L2k4LvJ_L-YxgZ_YF7QIsZr4h0PIoit8fKM/edit?usp=sharing

Creating your character
Characters will be made in GURPS Character Sheet (GCS) a free program with a large database of character-building assets. The characters are made with 125 Character Points, -40 Disadvantage Limit. Each player will get a chance to consult with the other players in the Discord server, but ultimately will end up making the character with the GM, before their debut on Session 1.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Have a Discord & Forge Account, as Discord is used for all communication and The Forge is used to host the Foundry VTT game. Players should also read GURPS 4th Edition Basic Set, Chapters 1 - 4 to learn how to make an average character. Additional reading ideas will be provided during the character-making process as well as during the Session 0.
What John brings to the table
Foundry VTT, which is free to players, a library of GURPS 4e books that will be available to players, and custom art assets & maps, some powered by AI. Ambient music will be used to set the tone and mood of a location or scene. The players will be expected to roleplay heavily throughout the adventures, and will be provided with Intrigue regularly and Combat rarely.

How John creates a safe table
