About the adventure

Prepare to embark on an epic journey through the multiverse to stop one of the most iconic villains in all of D&D. Vecna: Eve of Ruin is a high-level campaign beginning with level 10 characters who gradually uncover the secrets behind a vast multiverse plot orchestrated by the lich-god and his army of minions and followers. His ultimate goal: to reshape existence itself. To stop him, player characters must travel across many iconic realms and forge alliances with renowned NPCs. These allies will aid them on their quest and become peers to your characters, as you rise among the most powerful adventurers in the multiverse. My play style for this campaign—and for all my games—is to emphasize player agency and respect your decisions. While I follow the rules, my focus is on moving the story forward, never letting the book limit your creativity or enjoyment. This campaign is a rare chance to experience high-level D&D, something that doesn’t happen often. I am a committed GM who never abandons a table. This will be my second time running Eve of Ruin; the first time, it took us eight months to complete the module and reach its epic finale.

About me

I'm a D&D and TTRPG enthusiast with around 10 years of experience running tables, both long term campaigns and casual one shots. Being from Chile, a South American country, my first and main language is Spanish, but I'm fluent in English as well and more than willing to narrate on either language.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters start at level 10 for this campaign. I use Roll20 as a VTT and have several books loaded into the game, but I accept any official Wizards of the Coast material for character creation. Homebrew material can also be considered, though I must review it first. For ability scores, you may roll on Roll20 using the classic 4d6 drop lowest, or choose the standard array or point buy. Multiclassing and feats are allowed. Each character begins with: Their class and background starting gear 3 uncommon magic items 1 rare magic item 10,000 gold pieces

What to expect

Preparing for the session

I run my games using Discord and Roll20. Each player must have a Roll20 account (a free account is fine). Each player must also have a Discord account. I encourage the use of webcams so we can see how everyone roleplays their characters and to help with turn‑taking, avoiding multiple people speaking at once. However, webcams are optional—you don’t need one if you don’t have it or prefer not to use it.

What Alberto "Copro" Saldías brings to the table

I provide the full VTT experience, with dynamic lighting to explore locations and enjoy tactical combat to its fullest. I also use ambient music tailored to the mood and scene, enhancing immersion and atmosphere. I know the rules well—I used to be a rules lawyer—so I can keep the game flowing smoothly. At the same time, I embrace the Rule of Cool: some of the most memorable and epic moments happen at the edge of the rules, where creativity shines brightest.

Homebrew rules

Rules Used I primarily use the 2014 rules, with three exceptions from the 2024 rules: Exhaustion (2024 version) Potions as a bonus action Spellcasting wording: “one spell slot per turn” I am open to discussing homebrew rules before each session, since every group plays differently and the game itself can evolve as needed.

Safety

How Alberto "Copro" Saldías creates a safe table

I always host a Session Zero (which is free) where we set boundaries together and build a shared Lines and Veils list. This handout is available on Roll20 for everyone to check and edit as needed. Roll20 also includes tokens for the X‑Card safety tool, which I make sure everyone knows how to use. I encourage players to feel safe using it at any time, without hesitation.
