About the adventure
The Empire is so fat and satisfied that they can't even imagine someone like you walking into their house... 6 BBY The grip of the Empire has never been stronger. The Rebel Alliance is still in its early stages of formation. Yet, despite this, you are ready to fight by joining a newly formed rebel cell and going out on missions to sabotage the Empire and lay the groundwork for what will become the Rebel Alliance. Maybe you're a hopeful idealist who sees a future so few share. Maybe you are a survivor of the many conflicts sparked by the Empire's quest for power, looking to get back at those who hurt you. Maybe you're racked with guilt after having collaborated with the Empire, so now you seek redemption. Maybe you're in it for the credits, willing to play any side that pays best. Maybe you're a survivor of the great Jedi Purge, who sees resistance as the only way for the Jedi to survive. Whatever the reason for your cause may be. You're willing to fight, to keep hope alive. Your actions might be remembered in future archives, but the effect of those actions will be felt across the galaxy. Become more than the fear they want you to feel. Welcome to the Rebellion. This campaign will utilize Star Wars 5th Edition/D&D 5th Edition as its chosen game system. This will be a character focused story told in collaboration with everyone involved at the table, with the campaign being tweaked and modified to specifically fit and tie into the backstories of each player's character. This campaign is inspired by gritty spy movies/shows such as Argo, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Bourne Identity, Tinker Tailor Soldier, The Americans, and of course, Andor. If you enjoy collaborative stories, where choices matter, and where actions have consequences than this campaign will be for you. So if any of this interests you as a player, then feel free to join so that we can tell this story together.

About me
Hello everyone!!! I'm Alfie (he/him) but you can call me Space/Toast/Jam (wow look at that 3 nicknames for the price of one person). As a filmmaker by trade, storytelling is a natural skill I use in my regular life outside of TTRPGs. Like everyone else, I enjoy playing TTRPGs, but nothing gives me that same thrill as being a DM and receiving real-time feedback for a scenario that t breathe life into. My focus as a DM is on the story, characters, worldbuilding, and collaboration. I hope to collaborate on making enriching stories together and helping in shaping your character to be something that the table loves and cherishes just as much as you do. Please feel free to shoot me a message if you have any questions. I'm always open to changing my schedule around to accommodate my players. ALL SESSION 0'S OF ANY OF MY CAMPAIGN'S ARE 100% FREE! Along with any other meeting outside of any campaign session. I'm a DM who's quite open to learning new systems. I'm frequently looking for new systems to play in my spare time. My campaigns are heavily story focused as i bring lots of my storytelling skills I use in my trade over as a GM.
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation will occur during session zero before the story starts. I'm always open to helping out players to create or make changes to their characters if you ever ask. Stats can be decided either by a point calculator or by dice roll. Starting level for this campaign should be level 5. We'll specifically be using the Star Wars 5th edition as a system.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a microphone and, preferably, a camera to play. I like receiving feedback in real time by gauging players reactions, which is easier if I can see you. The campaign will be hosted on Discord and Foundry, so access to those will be necessary to play. This campaign will use the Star Wars 5th edition system, all relevant information and character creation tools can be accessed for free on SW5e. Character creation will occur during session zero, so no preparation will be needed for that before heading into it.
What Space brings to the table
Working in the film industry has given both When it comes to ruling as a DM, I lean more towards the rule of cool more than anything else. I do use music either for atmosphere or during certain set pieces however i mostly curate a playlist for each session. changing between songs if i feel like a particular piec of music is more appropriate for the moment. Overall, my focus as a DM is on the story being told, player to player interaction and player to world interection (NPC's, environment, set pieces...etc)
Homebrew rules
As a DM, I'm very open to rule changes; however, if the rule in the book makes little sense in the context of the action itself, then I am very likely to either change it to something more fair and sensible on the spot. If I can't make something work right there in the moment, then it will be changed and stated for the next session.

How Space creates a safe table
I make sure to have an individual 1-to-1 meeting with each player (these meetings are free) to privately discuss what their limits are, what they would like to avoid in the campaign, whether it's themes/plot points that relate to personal trauma, or any personal phobias they may have. Once flagged i'll make sure to exclude their presence from the campaign and share a document with the rest of the players with these listed dangers so that they can also follow suit as well with explicit warnings given to those who break any of the limits listed in the document. Any player caught repeatedly doing so will be excluded from the campaign going forward. Each limit listed in the document will be anonymous, so only I, the DM, will know which player requested this limit to be added. Something that will permanently stay that way moving forward in the campaign. If a player is caught in a serious violation of any of the rules laid out at session zero, I, as the DM will speak to all concerned parties involved and decide what appropriate action will be taken moving forward.
