About the adventure
This mash-up of the Humblewood setting with the Wild Beyond the Witchlight campaign combines the best of each for a wild, whimsical tale. Players will create woodland characters who find themselves caught in the rising tension of the Wood, as bandit ambushes darken the roads, fire burns hungrily in the Smoldering Grove, and the shadow of necromancy darkens the forest. Amidst this turmoil, the Witchlight Carnival arrives, offering delight, whimsy and, perhaps, answers. Players will explore content from both the Humblewood Campaign Setting and Humblewood Tales, as well as the campaign from the Wild Beyond the Witchlight. This game will be great for new and experienced players, featuring two interconnected, magical worlds to travel between, an abundance of magical secrets, and plenty of memorable characters to befriend, clash with, or, for the truly brave, make deals with. For a fairy promise is not a thing easily broken... This game will include combat, role play, and exploration, with an emphasis on role play. Difficulty in each area will be closely tailored to player preferences and feedback, and can be adjusted on a session-by-session basis.

Meet the Game Master
About me
I have been playing Fifth Edition Dungeons and Dragons for about two years now, and DM'ing for one. I love the combination of mechanics and imagination, and the shared experience we get from telling a story around the table. I bring passion, preparation and creativity so that my players can feel truly immersed in the world we are building together.

Creating your character
Characters will be made between session zero and the first session, or prior to each player's first session. Stats will be determined using either point buy or standard array. Characters should be created on DND Beyond, and players are encouraged to use species from the Humblewood setting, though that is not required.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need DND Beyond and Discord accounts. Once you sign up, come join the Discord and I will send you a message to get you started!

How JP creates a safe table
A link will be provided to a Lines and Veils form before each player's first session. X, N & O can be sent in game chat or via private message. I encourage players to reach out to me before, during, and after sessions with feedback or to discuss anything that happens in the game. Players have to feel safe and respected at the table before they can be authentic and creative, so that is my top priority as a GM.
