About the adventure

This game is designed for beginners. It offers a fun way to learn the rules of Kids on Bikes as we play. It also provides an open and welcoming environment for all participants to participate and express themselves freely. Campaign Teaser: The abandoned theater has been dark for decades—until tonight, when its marquee crackles to life with a red glow: “ONE NIGHT ONLY— HORROR DOUBLE FEATURE.” You and your friends roll up on squeaky bikes, half-daring each other to grab the free tickets fluttering at the doors. But as the projectors whir to life and the first reel flickers across the screen, the images seem to leak into the aisles…and then out onto the streets you call home. Pedals and courage are all you’ve got when the movie refuses to stay on the screen—and you realize the only way out might be straight through the next scene. The group’s bonds are tested and strengthened as they face their fears and experience the sometimes ridiculous clichés of horror movies. Tone: Action/Horror-Comedy: Balance the tension and scares with the absurdity. With a beginner-friendly and rules-light system like Kids on Bikes, the gameplay will emphasize the narrative of storytelling and the connection between the PCs.

About me

Hey there! I’ve been rolling dice and telling epic tales for the past five years as a Dungeon Master, primarily in Dungeons & Dragons 5e and Monster of the Week. What started as a simple love for storytelling has evolved into a full-blown passion for crafting unforgettable adventures that leave players laughing, strategizing, and, occasionally, holding their breath. Whether it's guiding heroes through sprawling fantasy worlds or hunting down creatures of the night in modern-day mysteries, I live for those shared moments when the story unfolds in ways no one could have predicted. I believe in creating a space where every player shines, from the seasoned tactician to the first-time roleplayer. My games are packed with twists, humor, and heart, designed to keep everyone engaged from start to finish. I’m constantly evolving my style, incorporating player feedback, and experimenting with new ideas to ensure no two sessions are the same. 🎲 From video games to D&D 5e, I’ve always loved stepping into the worlds of imagination and adventure. 🧙‍♂️ Five years of DMing experience across D&D 5e and other systems like Monster of the Week and Kids on Bikes. 🌟 My games are built on creativity, collaboration, and the "rule of cool," ensuring every session is as exciting as it is memorable. 🎮 Whether it’s unraveling mysteries, solving puzzles, or diving into roleplay, I craft immersive worlds where player choices truly matter. 🏳️‍🌈 My table is a welcoming, discrimination-free space for all adventurers, celebrating diverse voices and stories. ⚽ Outside the table, you’ll find me writing, watching soccer, or seeking a good scare. ✨ Ready to roll the dice and embark on an epic adventure? Let’s create stories together!

What GM Kasey brings to the table

Roll20Plus Account Discord Server Maps and Music Hand Crafted Adventures A Safe and Supportive Space I Attempt Character Voices (Not required) I’m all about the 'rule of cool' and collaborative storytelling—if someone has a great idea that makes the story more exciting, I’m all for it! I like to bring scenes to life with visuals and audio, which helps set the mood and pull players deeper into the world. Ultimately, I want everyone at the table to feel like they’re part of an evolving story that we’re building together, one that’s thrilling, meaningful, and, most importantly, fun.

Safety

How GM Kasey creates a safe table

A consent form will be provided and must be signed before the start of the campaign. To maintain a comfortable and supportive environment, we’ll use several safety tools throughout the game: X-Card: If something in the game makes you uncomfortable or crosses a boundary, raise the X-Card. We’ll immediately shift or adjust the scene without requiring any explanation. Pause Card: If you need a moment to process or discuss a scene, raise the Pause Card. This allows us to temporarily stop the game and check in before continuing. Fast Forward Card: If a scene feels uncomfortable but could continue briefly or less intensely, raise the Fast Forward Card to summarize or skip through it quickly. We’ll also use Lines and Veils to establish boundaries in advance: Lines represent hard limits. Topics or themes designated as Lines will not be included in the game under any circumstances. Veils represent content that can appear only indirectly or non-graphically, “veiled” from detailed descriptions. For example, a Veil may be placed over certain types of harm or sensitive topics that are acceptable to reference but should be treated with care. You can set your Lines and Veils in a pregame consent form, which should be completed before the session begins. These tools ensure that everyone feels safe and comfortable, and any concerns can also be shared privately with the GM. We’ll address these without question or judgment to create an enjoyable experience for everyone.
