About the adventure
When adventurers take on a simple job for the ambitious dwarf Gundren Rockseeker they are unaware that they will be dragged into a much larger adventure that will see them delve into dark caverns, explore ruined castles and traipse through abandoned towns fighting monsters along the way. This is a classic and beloved adventure that sees play from beginners to veterans. The game will start at level 1 and you may start out with an uncommon magic item of your choice. Play by Post EXPLANATION: I run Play by Post games through Start Playing on my Discord Channel. These games are literally designed to be played all day, every day, at your convenience. I post three times every day, except on weekends. The 'schedule' on Start Playing is when the weekly payment posts to your account and has little to do with the schedule of the PBP games.

Creating your character
You will create a level 1 character using any official WOTC Dungeons and Dragons 5e content. We will be using the 2024 rules but you may choose species and subclass options from the previous edition unless it has been rereleased since 2024. You will use point buy or standard array to determine stats. You may choose an uncommon magic item.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a free discord account. You will need to use a free DnD Beyond account for building your character and linking to Discord Avrae. You'll want a free account to Owl Bear rodeo, which is what I use for maps.
