About the adventure

You awaken in an asylum with no memory of who you are, how you arrived, or why the walls seem to whisper your name. Orderlies watch too closely, patients speak in riddles, and reality itself feels… unstable. Strange Aeons: In Search of Sanity is a psychological horror campaign where memory, identity, and truth are constantly under threat. What begins as survival quickly becomes a descent into dread, where uncovering the past may be more dangerous than remaining ignorant. This adventure focuses on psychological horror and mystery over epic heroics. The horror is personal and intimate—confined spaces, unsettling NPCs, and the constant question of what is real. Madness is a pressure rather than a spectacle, and discovery comes through investigation, social encounters, and slow realization rather than exposition. Combat occurs, but often feels desperate and disorienting, reinforcing the sense that you are vulnerable in a world that does not care about your survival. My GM style prioritizes immersion and atmosphere: strong narrative descriptions, character-focused storytelling, and moments of quiet dread punctuated by bursts of terror. I play rules-as-written where it matters, but always in service of tension and pacing. This game is ideal for players who enjoy horror, mystery, and character-driven stories—whether you’re new to Pathfinder 2E or an experienced player looking for something darker and more cerebral. If you enjoy unraveling secrets, surviving psychological pressure, and slowly piecing together who you were—and what you might become—this is a journey you won’t soon forget. If you are new to Pathfinder 2e. This is an ideal campaign to sink your teeth into.

About me

My name is Tyler, I have been involved with TTRPG's on and off for several years. Hard my start as a player in D&D5e for roughly 3 years. Decided to try my hand at being a DM and did some one shots. Ended up wanting something different as a player and DM and tried out Pathfinder2e. I have been GMing pathfinder2e for about a year now and cant help but want to sink my teeth deeper. I love the joint story telling atmosphere of table top games. I believe that rules are there to give us a frame to act within, but also break when situation and events call for it.

Character creation

Creating your character

The players start the campaign with some degree of Amnesia. I have some really fun ideas to pose to the party for this and we will go over characters together via a FREE session 0. For new players. I will aid you in any part of character creation and rules interpretations from step 1 to completion.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need to have a Discord profile, a Mic, a stable internet access and I will provide you with a link to play in the campaign via Foundry VTT.(you do not need a copy of foundry vtt, I own the copy and you play under my license) DM me after you have signed up for the discord/foundry vtt links.

What Tyler brings to the table

As the DM I do my best to diferentiate character voices and personalities. I will include ambient music, effects, and a soundboard. I prefer to use rules as written as a guideline for actions in game and will lean on the rules as much as I can. But roleplay and character expression may bend the rules a bit. When it comes to combat, i stick more strictly to words as written because it creates a balanced atmosphere which is essential since i do not fudge rolls. Players can expect a highly motivated DM that does everything he can to provide you with the most satisfying and immersive experience he is capable of.

Homebrew rules

Homebrew Rules: You may not use Hero Points to auto-stabilize once you have been downed. You do not need to prepare spells used in roleplay scenarious. Any wizard can open up their spell book and cast from it when not in stressful environments, though it will still burn a spell slot. These and any more will be negotiated with the players via session 0.

Safety

How Tyler creates a safe table

We will go over safety measures together via session 0. I have a module in Foundry to use X's if necessary. I am also directly chatting with players individually if they would like to take a break, separate from the group, or chat with me directly, discreetly, during session. Anything more will be clarified and settled in Session 0.
