About the adventure

Enter the world of Jotunheim and keep "Freyja" and her "handmaiden" safe as they travel to "her" wedding with Thyrm! ════════════════════════════════════ If you're a fan of Norse myths, shenanigans, and adventure, then this mini-campaign is a great fit! Join Thor and Loki as they travel through Jotunheim as "Freyja" and her "handmaiden" to recover Mjolnir! In this classic tale, Thor loses his precious hammer, Mjolnir, and is tasked with retrieving it himself. The twist? He has to go dressed as Freyja, as the price for Mjolnir is her hand in marriage. Thor drags his trusty friend, Loki, along as they head towards Thyrm's hall. Thrym, the Jotun who stole Mjolnir, awaits his beautiful bride among excited and esteemed guests. A proper royal welcome has been prepared, fit for a goddess of Freyja's standing. ════════════════════════════════════ This is a Homebrew mini-adventure meant to allow the players a chance to experience Norse Mythology first hand. "Thor's Wedding" is a popular comedic story retold in many ways over the centuries. Some folks may recognise "Bride Thor" from the game SMITE, this is where that comes from! This story is relatively linear with a few areas for exploration and more open game play. It is an escort quest at the end of the day, but you're travelling with two disguised gods. Gossip travels faster than feet, and your arrival has been whispered about. Your journey will not be without obstacles. - Early game can affect late game - Mid-Level Roleplay - Mid-Level Combat - Mild Exploration - Carousing opportunities - Variable play - Puzzles - Blend of utility and combat - All Experience levels welcome ════════════════════════════════════

About me

I am a life-long storyteller, entertainer, and creative. My affinity for the creative arts and hobbies has contributed to finding fulfillment in acting, which then lead to a passion for D&D and collaborative storytelling. Playing among friends and other creatives has fueled it further, and with their encouragement backing me up, I took my step into the world of Professional DMing. It took me a long time to be able to finally play any TTRPG game, but in 2021 I finally had my chance in a Curse of Strahd game with friends, and few one shots. As with most games, we never finished playing, but that didn't mean the passion died. I started running Wild Beyond the Witchlight as my first module, but had run several one-shots and homebrewed mini-adventures by then. The more games I ran, the more invested I became. I had many friends who had never been able to play TTRPGs that I quickly was the go-to Forever GM for my friend group, a title I was happy to have. My games tend to be focused on story, character development, and roleplay with plot driving combat. I enjoy creating a setting and environment that my players get to explore. Everything can be interacted with; the bugs, birds, random folks, etc. Many of my homebrew adventures are set in the Feywilds or have Fey-adjacent themes. This creates a whimsical and adaptive world to play in.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will be made in a D&DBeyond Campaign that has content sharing enabled to allow for maximum fun! We will start at level 8, and progress to at least level 10. Keep that in mind when building characters. Multi-classing is allowed! Feel free to build your character idea, get a feel for subclass, feats, spells, etc., but please hold off on stats until Session 0! Please include something that connects your character to the Norse Cosmology! Ideally, a connection to Thor, Loki, Freyja, Odin, Frigg, or a "great hero". You can also be connected to the Jotun, but that should be discussed with me first. Preapproved content: - Crooked Moon

What Tobias brings to the table

I love to make my games as immersive as I am able to by utilizing background music and sounds. I am also a voice actor and often rely on that skill to bring life to my characters and sound effects to the world. I like to blend 2014 & 2024 in my rules, and I am not against allowing the Rule of Cool once in a while when it feels thematically appropriate.

- Use 2024 for healing - No firearms (very rare exceptions)

How Tobias creates a safe table

Major lines are covered during session 0, including content that will be part of the adventure that cannot be changed. We also establish a baseline for PvP and romance. I allow for pauses/breaks in sessions when scenes may need a cool down period. I'm also available in my discord for aftercare if needed. I talk with my players about any difficult scenes they feel need to be broken down. I also allow for a 15min after game decompression/check to ensure we're all still in good spirits. Each game has a place for lines & veils and stars & wishes to be post that is able to be updated throughout the campaign.
