About the adventure

BROOD AWAKENING A ripple in the timestream exposes a secret buried deep beneath Cavern‑X—an echo of a future that should never exist. Something ancient stirs in the dark, born of hunger and instinct, evolving into a threat that defies biology and destiny alike. Cable senses the coming fracture, a shadow rewriting tomorrow from the past. To stop it, Weapon X‑Men must travel into the past and descend to a place where nothing sleeps, nothing dies, and everything hungers. What they find will challenge fate itself… and reveal a horror that was never meant to awaken. SHORT! one-shot (2-hour) TEAM: Weapon X‑Men Assemble Cable — X‑Men Expansion Book, p.187 Chronal static crawls across his metal arm as he steps into the dark. A soldier forged in ruined futures, staring down a nightmare that wants to make those futures real. Chamber — X‑Men Expansion Book, p.192 Psionic fire flickers from the void in his chest, casting skeletal shadows. Every breath is a muffled detonation, barely contained. Deadpool — Core Rulebook, p.158 A whisper of steel, a muttered punchline, and Deadpool strolls in like he’s already seen the jump scare. Beneath the jokes lurks a predator who knows exactly when to stop laughing. Thunderbird (Warpath) — X‑Men Expansion Book, p.253 Warpath moves like a storm in human shape—silent, heavy, inevitable. His blades gleam with ancestral warning as the cavern floor trembles underfoot. Wolverine (Logan) — Core Rulebook, p.260 A feral growl cuts through the dark. Adamantium claws flare, catching the faintest glint of movement in the black. Logan is instinct sharpened to a killing edge, and something down here is testing him.

How Morganwolf creates a safe table

Using established heroes, please make sure you carefully read over their character sheets, taking note of their highest ability and defense scores, traits, tags, and powers so you understand what they’re capable of and won’t be blindsided during the game session with capabilities you weren’t aware of. Players can expect looking for a challenging game experience as the Narrator and players are excited at the prospect of their characters being in mortal danger and pushed to their limit? Do not be afraid to ask questions during game as this is considered an introductory adventure but also a dangerous one. This will be a more strategic approach to combat as we use tight strategy on a map to visualize each battle for a more playful game experience.
