About the adventure
Shipwrecked on a cursed jungle island, your only hope of escape lies through the ruins of a serpent temple where the yuan-ti prepare a blood ritual to awaken Merrshaulk, the Slumbering Doom. Designed for levels 10–12, this unique homebrew adventure is a complete high-level story condensed into three intense sessions. Explore a dangerous island filled with hidden temples, jungle ruins, ancient puzzles, deadly traps, and cinematic encounters—from ambushing ritual sacrifices along the Blood River to infiltrating the serpent ziggurat itself. Along the way you'll uncover powerful magic items, ritual boons, and lost relics of an ancient serpent empire while navigating strange NPCs, desperate survivors, and the secrets of the yuan-ti cult. Merrshaulk is one of D&D’s most ancient and iconic serpent gods, and in this adventure his followers are carrying out a plan centuries in the making—one that could elevate their master beyond mere godhood. With meaningful choices, exploration, tactical combat, puzzles, and rich story moments, Merrshaulk: The Slumbering Doom offers high-level heroes a fast-paced but complete adventure with plenty of opportunities for clever play and replayable outcomes.

About me
I specialize in homebrew adventures set in rich, living worlds where story and consequence matter. My games blend cinematic storytelling with unique combat encounters, dynamic environments, and villains that feel truly iconic. Whether facing an exiled Archduke of the Nine Hells, hunting a kraken beneath the waves, or standing against an ancient force of the earth itself, my players step into stories designed to feel epic, dangerous, and unforgettable. I focus on: ⚔️ Challenging, tactical combat that rewards creativity 📖 Strong narrative arcs with meaningful choices 👑 Memorable villains with real presence and motive 🌍 Deep homebrew lore rooted in my original world, Alvaron: Land of the Godless My goal is simple: To create adventures that feel worthy of legend — where victory is earned, risks matter, and every session leaves you wanting the next.

What Mada Zitro brings to the table
What I Provide as Your GM I run fully immersive, story-driven adventures with a strong focus on atmosphere, creativity, and memorable encounters. For this adventure you can expect unique custom battle maps, handcrafted specifically for this story—from jungle ambush sites and ritual temples to hidden serpent chambers and deadly dungeon traps. The entire adventure is original homebrew content, designed to feel like a cinematic D&D module. I also incorporate original music and ambient soundtracks to enhance the environment—whether you're creeping through a silent jungle, solving ancient temple puzzles, or fighting yuan-ti during a blood ritual beneath a storm. My GM Style I run games that balance tactical combat, exploration, and story. Combat encounters are meaningful and tactical, often using terrain, elevation, and environmental features to create dynamic battles rather than simple slugfests. I generally follow the Rules as Written, especially during combat and mechanics, but I absolutely embrace the Rule of Cool when it leads to exciting or cinematic moments. If you have a clever idea or dramatic action, I want to hear it. At the end of the day, I’m not just running a game—I’m here to tell an unforgettable story with you and the rest of the party.

How Mada Zitro creates a safe table
Player Safety & Comfort Creating a safe, respectful, and enjoyable table is very important to me. This adventure explores dark themes such as blood rituals, sacrifice, and tyranny, but the focus is always on heroic adventure and collaborative storytelling. Sexual violence of any kind is not permitted at this table. That content will not appear in the game world or be introduced by players. Because this is a 3-session adventure, we do not run a formal Session 0. Instead, expectations and boundaries are discussed before the game through Discord, either in voice chat or text. Players are always welcome to reach out privately if they have questions or concerns. During the game, players can message me directly on Discord or Roll20 if something makes them uncomfortable, and we will immediately adjust the scene. Player comfort always comes first. Table Atmosphere Be respectful of everyone at the table, but feel free to joke, laugh, and have a good time. The goal is to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable participating while still enjoying the intensity and excitement of the adventure. During the Game We take a scheduled break around the midpoint of each session so everyone can step away, reset, and prepare for the next leg of the adventure. After the Game At the end of each session we have a short after-session breakdown, where players can talk about highlights, ask questions about the story, and share feedback. The goal is to create a table where everyone feels respected, comfortable, and excited to dive into the adventure together.
