About the adventure

One of the best adventures from Pathfinder, the Kingmaker adventure path sets you as adventurers who seek to rule the Stolen Lands! You will explore wild and treacherous terrain that will one day become parts of your kingdom, and work together with both your adventuring companions and the locals to truly make it your own. As a party, you govern a nation on the rise and must make decisions on how it will be shaped. With the aid and support of notable characters and important figures, you will venture to fulfill the needs of your citizens, and secure the legitimacy of your claim, either through diplomacy and strategy, or by force. Can you tame the Stolen Lands, or will you fail where so many others have? Kingmaker starts at level 1 and can end at level 20, featuring kingdom building and warfare mechanics, alongside classic Pathfinder heroics. A sandbox with everything you could love for a personalized story, and if you fear the plot may be hard to follow fret not!- with me as your GM, you are sure to have something exciting to look forward to every week. All are welcome to this tale of adventure, and where you will go is for you to decide. _____________________________ Expectation TLDR: - LGBTQ+ friendly - Custom chosen music, for combat and roleplay that dynamically changes - Personalized character-focused stories - Immersive and interactive roleplay _____________________________ Now, if you have some questions, perhaps I can provide some answers: - Do you allow homebrew? I allow homebrew and 3rd party content in my tables and host using the latest rules for the system, though am always open to changing things around to adhere to the group's wants. Session 0 is fundamental in understanding what kind of experience you are looking for! - What level do we start at? Characters start at the adventure's starting level and I will host the adventure for as long as the players decide to keep playing for, up to level 20 if possible. - Should I expect my character to be always in danger of dying? It is useful to have at least an idea for a backup, just in case your character perishes in the adventure and you want to try something new. But for the most part, so long as the party has the means *or* loot to bring someone back, death is not the end. - So what level of experience should I expect at the table? New and old players are welcome. If you've never played D&D before, I provide an experience that will help you both understand the system and have a good time playing the game. For experienced players, I am willing to give you a wonderful adventure tailored for you and your character, even tweaking aspects of the campaign to fit your tastes! - Where and how are we supposed to play? I run my games through Roll20, using Discord for text updates and to host the voice calls for each session. If any of the official material lack in visuals, I often create my own maps and tokens to provide a more fun experience. Also, music will be provided for play.

About me

Hello there! Thank you for taking a moment to learn about me. I am GenerousHeal, otherwise known as Spyro, and I am a Game Designer by trade. I am also a big fan of TTRPGs, with the most experience playing Dungeons & Dragons (5th edition), Pathfinder (both 1st and 2nd edition), Vampire: The Masquerade and Draw Steel! With D&D I have about seven years of experience to draw from, pathfinder about four years, Vampire three and Draw Steel only about a month since its release (released basically a month ago). I also wish to host more Final Fantasy XIV tabletop games, as I've been a big fan of the final fantasy games since childhood. Beyond my tabletop experience alone, I mostly stream my D&D games over on Twitch and YouTube under the RuinousPathsDND account. If you wish to use those sessions to gage if I am a good fit for your gaming tastes, I suggest you have a look! YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0XCWUoCHxWd9VfsSdrsk-g (recommend checking the Live Streams tab for more recent sessions) Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/ruinouspathsdnd Everyone is welcome on my table, so long as they take care to play well with others. LGBTQ+ folks are obviously included. AI generated content won't be found on any game I host, nor do I enjoy seeing it on the table even if brought in by a paying player. When it comes to campaigns I host, great effort is put to better fit the story of the characters that the players bring to the table. Even when running officially published modules, expect to find your character's background and actions shaping the game as we play. If you are a fan of real-play games, or enjoy a good session of critical role, dimension20, world of io, or perhaps are looking to simply roll some dice and enjoy a good session of play, I'm the GM you are looking for! And of course, don't forget to love each other! See you at the table!

Character creation

Creating your character

We will host a session 0 during our first meeting to undergo character creation and an introduction to the setting that the adventure takes place in. We will be all together in a discord voice call and using Roll20 to host the character sheets. Stats can be taken by a variety of ways, from pre-selected options, to point-buy or even rolling for them. It is important to note that this will be a group decision when it comes down to it, for game balancing purposes. All characters at the level appropriate set by the adventure, using the 2nd Edition official rules for Pathfinder. If you wish to use any other material, such as Pathfinder 1st edition, it is good to tell me during session 0 and we can see what we can do. Homebrew is fair game, but so is also: - 3rd party content - Custom / self-made content

What to expect

Preparing for the session

As mentioned, you will need a Roll20 and Discord account at minimum to play, where I will give you a link for both to join both the game and discord server respectively. Do not worry, they are both free to create and you won't need much beyond that, except: - a microphone - a headset Cameras are not necessary to participate in the game, though I've had players use them regardless for reactions. Up to player preference.

What GenerousHeal brings to the table

As for what I can provide: - I am an experienced GM who has hosted dozens upon dozens of short adventures in my local game store (those who know will understand when I say I have hosted for kids multiple times). I have also run many games both on and off stream for friends for years, with campaigns lasting for years at a time. I know my way around th content to make it fun to play through and am certain you will have a great time on the ride. - I can do fairly good voice acting? I will leave you to be the judge of that, you can check out our streams for that kind of insight! (excuse my microphone quality, sometimes Streamlabs decides to be really annoying about it >:T) - I provide music! Usually tracks play on Roll20 or Discord to provide ambience, or a nice combat track to accompany encounters, social or tactical ones. - I am a Rules as Written DM first but am not above allowing for cool ideas to fly past the rules, provided it is for special occassions. Enforcing the rules makes for the moment they break to feel more special.... or when the rules are really dumb. Who designed mounted combat like this?- - The difficulty of encounters depends on what kind of adventure the party are looking for. The difficulty of the adventure also depends on the same thing, where I can prepare the content in a way to appeal to the party's desires, either running it as is, making things more difficult for a gritty experience or mellowing out the tougher parts for the adventure for a story-focused exploration. - If you have more questions as to how I run my games, feel free to ask me during Session 0!

Homebrew rules

For Pathfinder, my homebrew rules fall onto player preference for the most part, discussed and solidified during Session 0.
