About the adventure

Collaborative world and character building. Beginners welcome. Welcome to the Imperium, several decades before the rise of Paul Atreides. The Houses play games of status and power, all seeking to control, or at least possess, the Spice. What sort of game will you play? Will you make decisions that affect dozens of worlds? Will you walk among the mighty? Or will you claw at the ladder trying to raise your status? We will create the noble House you come from, and determine where you will sail on the tides of sand and stars. And once we've done that, we'll determine the goals of your House.

About me

Well met, travelers! Come in, make yourself at home. I’ve been telling stories since I learned to talk. Then, decades ago I discovered D&D and learned that other people could tell them with me. It was a revelation. Since then, I have run games, played games, learned games, and written for and about games. I’ve run many different systems, including but not limited to, D&D (3 editions worth), Traveler, World of Darkness, Champions, Mutants and Masterminds, FATE, and Modiphius’ 2d20. I’ve played many more, including Runequest, Superworld, Blades in the Dark, and others. My favorite tales involve dynamic, clever heroes. Would you know any, by chance?

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will occur in Session Zero. Bring ideas of what you might want to play, but have options available. Remember, your ideas may change as House creation gets underway.

Preparing for the session

Complete, or at least read, the Lines and Veils document. I will send you my Discord server once the game is in session. You will need Fantasy Grounds Unity to play. You don't need a license, so don't spend any money unless you really want to.

What T.I.L.TE.D. Chris brings to the table

I will bring you schemers and their schemes. Some will scheme for you, others against you, and you may not realize which is which until the trap snaps closed. The political landscape will be fraught with both threat and potential.
