About the adventure

Cheliax rules through fear. Hellknights enforce its brutal laws with iron discipline and infernal authority. In the shadows of this empire, a rebellion begins to stir. You are members of the Hellbreakers League, a secret network dedicated to breaking the power of tyrants. Across the troubled land of Isger, you will sabotage Hellknight operations, expose conspiracies, free prisoners, and rally the oppressed. Each mission strikes a blow against a regime built on fear, while the flames of rebellion slowly begin to spread. But revolution is never simple. Cheliax watches closely, Hellknight orders hunt relentlessly, and darker threats lurk beneath the chaos of war. Devils, corruption, and political intrigue threaten to consume the region. Every victory risks discovery, and every failure could bring the iron fist of the empire crashing down. Hellbreakers is a campaign of daring missions, infiltration, investigation, and explosive rebellion. The story blends political intrigue, covert operations, and high-stakes heroism as the party rises from unknown agents to legendary rebels capable of changing the fate of a nation. This game is ideal for players who enjoy: • Revolutionary stories and fighting oppressive regimes • Tactical combat mixed with investigation and roleplay • Covert missions, sabotage, and prison breaks • Character-driven storytelling where your choices shape the rebellion New players are welcome, and experienced players will find plenty of depth in the unfolding political drama. Expect cinematic moments, tense decisions, and a world that reacts to your actions as the rebellion grows. Will you ignite the spark that frees Isger, or will the iron law of Cheliax crush the rebellion before it can rise?

About me

There is a rhythm to a good game, the kind that settles over the table without effort. You can hear it in the dice, in the pauses between decisions, in the way people slip into character without even realizing it. It is something you hold, shape, and trust. That is where stories live, and I sit behind the screen to guide them. Hi, I am Davide. I have been running games for more than two decades, and I love building stories that invite presence, sessions that resonate, and experiences that linger long after the final roll in the form of friendships, memories, and moments that stay with us. My love for storytelling began with my father’s voice. He had a way of narrating tales that filled a room with magic. Every pause, every glance, every word carried meaning. That feeling never left me, and it is what I have been chasing ever since, to recreate that sense of wonder at the table. As a parent raising a child with autism and ADHD, or as I like to say, with a vibrant and unique view of the world, I have learned to listen with more than just ears. Patience, empathy, and presence have become part of who I am. They have also taught me how much people sometimes need a pause, a breath, a moment away from everything pressing in. That is what running a game means to me: offering a space to land, to catch a breath, and to let imagination and joy flourish. A space where time slows down just enough for our inner child to step forward and play again. I manage my tables with a balance of structure, rhythm, and fairness, giving the story room to breathe and the world space to respond. Every choice matters, every silence has weight, and every spark of connection has the chance to grow. This is what I bring to the table. I am the GM who brings people together through story. Connection, immersion, and commitment are at the heart of everything I run. When you sit at my table, you are not only stepping into a world of adventure, you are stepping into a place where stories turn into memories and players turn into companions. If this sounds like the story you have been wanting to step into, then come. Your seat is waiting, and our journey is about to begin.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character Creation Character creation will take place during Session 0. Coming to Session 0 with a character concept or a ready-to-go character is appreciated but not required. We will finalize characters together and make sure everyone fits naturally into the campaign. At this stage, it is a good idea to start thinking about character concepts and how your character might fit into the story. For context, we will be using the following three power rules: Free Archetypes GAB Ancestry Paragon I am open to rare ancestries as long as you justify their presence with a cool and appropriate backstory. Common and uncommon items at character creation are fine. No rare items, magical or tied to specific Adventure Paths. Backgrounds that fit the themes of the campaign such as rebellion, espionage, resistance movements, or life under Cheliax’s rule are highly recommended. Please avoid backgrounds specifically tied to other Adventure Paths. Characters in Hellbreakers are members or allies of the Hellbreakers League, a resistance movement fighting against the oppressive influence of Cheliax and the Hellknights in Isger. When thinking about your character concept, consider how they might have become involved in this rebellion. The campaign starts at Level 1. I strongly recommend using Pathbuilder2e. It is not compulsory, but highly encouraged. If you are not familiar with the power rules or Pathbuilder 2e, here are the links: https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=2751 https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=1300 https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=1336 https://pathbuilder2e.com/ Note: To enable the power rule options on Pathbuilder 2e, you will need the full version (around $7 USD, one-time). If you prefer not to purchase it, I have a workaround available. All necessary material and resources for character creation will be shared in the game’s Discord server.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Before the game begins, players should make sure they have the following: • A Discord account – We will use Discord for voice communication and for sharing game information, resources, and updates. • A Sqyre account – The game is hosted on Foundry VTT through Sqyre, so you will need a Sqyre account to access the virtual tabletop. • A computer capable of running Foundry VTT – Foundry runs in your browser, but it works best on a desktop or laptop computer rather than a tablet or phone. • A headset and microphone – Clear audio helps keep the game flowing smoothly and ensures everyone can communicate easily. • A stable internet connection – Since the game runs online with a virtual tabletop, a reliable connection is important. Before the first session, you will receive links to the Discord server and the Foundry game so you can make sure everything works properly. If you are new to Foundry VTT or need help getting set up, I will gladly assist you before the game starts.

What Firehouse Games brings to the table

Before we begin, please make sure you’re set up with the following: A free Sqyre account – the game is hosted on Foundry via Sqyre A Discord account – used for voice chat and session coordination A working microphone and either a reasonably quiet environment or the ability to use push-to-talk A stable internet connection – Foundry requires consistent bandwidth to function properly A computer capable of running Foundry VTT in a browser (Chrome or Firefox recommended) Access to Pathbuilder 2e – we’ll use this for character creation and progression As a GM, I focus on delivering a polished, immersive experience using high-quality assets and tools. When you join this game, here’s what you can expect: 🎞️ Premium Foundry VTT modules 🎵 Ambient music, soundscapes, and triggered sound effects 🔥 Combat animations, spell effects, and dynamic lighting 🗺️ High-resolution maps with fog of war, lighting, and elevation 🛠️ Fully hosted on Sqyre, accessible 24/7 For a system like Pathfinder 2e, I prefer to stick closely to the rules. The mechanics are masterfully designed, and I believe they create exciting, fair, and rewarding gameplay when used as written. If you enjoy a system that respects your tactical choices and offers depth at every level, you’ll feel right at home here.

Safety

How Firehouse Games creates a safe table

How I Keep Players Safe and Comfortable Creating a respectful and welcoming table is very important to me. During Session 0 we will discuss expectations, table etiquette, and any boundaries players want to establish before the campaign begins. Session 0 is also where we review tone, themes, and player comfort so everyone understands what kind of story we are telling together. During sessions, we will take regular breaks to help everyone stay focused and comfortable, especially during longer games. At the end of each session we will have a short debrief, giving players a chance to share thoughts about the session, highlight moments they enjoyed, and raise any concerns if needed. My goal is to maintain a collaborative, respectful, and supportive table environment where everyone feels comfortable participating and contributing to the story. Players are always welcome to communicate privately with me if something at the table ever makes them uncomfortable. I take player wellbeing seriously and will always work with the group to keep the game enjoyable for everyone.
