About me

Hi! I'm Cath. Long time player, first time GM. What I lack in experience, I make up for with a long history as a writer, actor, and yapper. My philosophy in the games I plan to run is to provide a rich world that will be the playground for the players to create the stories that they wish to, with character that matter to them. Open communication between GM and player is super important to me and that everyone in the table is comfortable and happy.

What Cath brings to the table

I would consider myself a largely Rule-of-Cool GM. I would rather help the table tell the story they want to tell rather than stick to rules that bog down the narrative. If you can convince that an action or decision that your character is doing, makes sense to the them and the rest of the story, I will usually allow it with adjustments. I also have a preference for quick and lethal combat versus long drawn-out encounters.

Safety

How Cath creates a safe table

After joining the game, you are required to complete the Monte Cook consent checklist that you will be sent. After I confirm completion of the form, there will be an interview where we will discuss the answers to the checklist, the contents of the game, as well as other details like your expectations for the game and myself as your GM. During gameplay, X card use includes digital, messaged, and verbal. The X Card is sacred and use of it cannot be questioned.
