About the adventure

War is no longer a distant rumor. It is knocking on your door. The Zaelian Republic and Empire of Krostica are locked in an escalating conflict. Between them sits Bridgeport, a small border town whose soldiers were pulled away to fight elsewhere. Now the defenses are gone and raiders have come to take it for their own.. You are not legendary heroes, yet. You are ordinary people caught up in the tide of history. Over twelve sessions you may become the ones to decide Bridgeport’s fate. Will you protect the innocent? Will you swear loyalty to the Empire or Republic? Or will you carve your own path?

About me

Howdy, all! My name is Erick, and I love telling stories with my players. I’ve been running tabletop RPGs for about 8 years with in-home and online groups, as well as in friendly local game shops. Most of my experience is with D&D 5e (2014), but I’ve also run Savage Worlds, Cypher System, Pathfinder 1e, and Fabula Ultima. My table is an inclusive and accessible space where everyone is welcome, including LGBTQ+ players. I use Session Zero and safety tools to make sure players feel comfortable, respected, and excited about the game we’re creating together.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will be handled prior to the first session. Characters start at level 5. We will use Alchemy RPG at the Virtual Tabletop. You do not need to use Alchemy to create your character but I at least need your character's name. You can use the PDF character sheet or Fultimator. The core rulebook and 3 atlases are available for use.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

1. Create a Discord account. 2. Share yorur username so I can invite you to the server. 3. Once in the server, go to the #links channel to view the Campaign Overview, Additional Rules, and Character Questions. 4. Create a character. a. If you using Fultimator you will need to create an account and download the desktop app if you prefer. b. You can build a character using the PDF character sheet and rulebooks. 5. Fill out the six character questions and send it to me. 6. Follow the link to the campaign's Alchemy RPG page. 7. Create an Alchemy account. 8. Create your character on Alchemy --only their name is necessary.

What Erick Semones brings to the table

I use Alchemy RPG to present high-quality visual scenes and music to draw players into the story. Players can expect tactical combat and heavy roleplaying within a dynamic and open world. I stick pretty close to the rules, but I am flesible if it makes sense with the fiction.

Homebrew rules

We are not using house rules, but we are incorporating additional rules from the core rulebook. We are adding Combat Superiority, Blitz, and Booster. These can be found in the core rulebook.

Safety

How Erick Semones creates a safe table

The campaign overview lists Lines & Veils. We go over themes and content in Session Zero, and every session will have a Stars & Wishes survey. We also encourage the use of X-Card or "pause for a minute" if there is a question about rules, a roleplaying scene, or triggering content.
