About the adventure
Are you tired of combat encounters where your characters are never really under any serious threat? If you've never played Shadowdark, it is a D&D-inspired RPG system that takes the danger and simplicity of the old 1e and 2e editions of D&D and all of the streamlining of more modern RPGs and combines them into a rules-light, straightforward, fast-moving RPG full of adventure, harrowing combat and a focus on exploration and atmosphere.

About me
Hey there! My name is Alex, I have been playing Tabletop Role Playing Games for close to 10 years now, and GM'ing for several. I love to run games that are heavily narrative and character-driven, with a strong emphasis on roleplaying and challenging encounters that will test your creativity. I run my games in Foundry VTT and make use of custom soundscapes, visual effects and music to try and make things as cinematic as possible. I look forward to seeing you at my table!

Creating your character
We will get together for a free session zero to put together characters and discuss how those characters know each other, what their motivations are, etc. This is also when choosing a class and whatnot will come into play. If preferred or needed, character creation can be done one-on-one as well, just let me know!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I highly recommend installing Fantasy Grounds Unity VTT. You can easily grab it from Steam or their website for free.
What Alex brings to the table
I will be providing all of the core and expanded content available for Shadowdark thus far, including all expanded classes, ancestries, and backgrounds. I also have a few homebrew classes available to play if you like.
Homebrew rules
Maximum HP + Con mod at 1st level is an easy go-to homebrew rule I tend to use. A character with a single hit point isn't lasting very long!

How Alex creates a safe table
We will go over any boundaries and limits prior to the game, and as part of the session zero, to set expectations. If at any point you feel uncomfortable with something happening in the game, I will provide a way for you to communicate this to me privately to keep things fun and enjoyable for everyone involved.
