About the adventure
The Story: Chicago is a city that has secretly been ruled by the vampires known as 'kindred' for centuries. Preying on the mortal population for sustenance and power. Squabbling amongst eachother, in an endless cycle of supernatural politics, as vampire factions fight over who gets to rule and how. And you, a brand new kindred is thrown head first into this mess. Waking up in a dimly lit meat locker, with others who share your everlasting hunger and affliction. Hungry, confused and brimming with powers of the blood, you and your fellow confused new kindred have to explore this new unlife. Will you join the masses and become part of the Camarilla faction. Or find solace in the counterculture of the Anarch faction, that believe ancient vampires shouldn't hold all the power? The game: Your characters will start as inexperienced and confused fledglings, AKA brand new vampires, making the start of this chronicle more open to new players. The start of this chronicle (VTM slang for campaign), will loosely follow the official starting adventure New Blood. After the end of the first story arc and some downtime, your characters will become neonates. (More experienced vampires).

About me
Hello, I'm Dominik (or Domi for short.) I've been into TTRPGs for over a decade now. Starting with DnD and later getting absorbed into World Of Darkness. I am queer and neurodivergent (ADHD) myself, so my table has always had a focus on being a welcoming safe space! If you're looking for a story rich game, with a bit of combat drizzled in, I'm your GM! ____ All listing thumbnails are artwork drawn by me, or photograph collages edited by me, unless stated otherwise.

Creating your character
We will create characters during session 0. Feel free to think of concepts and discuss ideas with players or me ahead of time though, but the mechanical character creation will be in session 0! If you want to familiarize yourself with VTM5 before session 0, I highly recommend browsing the Paradox Wiki. https://vtm.paradoxwikis.com/VTM_Wiki Your characters will start out as fairly new vampires, having been turned within the last 15 years.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Forge account, as I host Foundry VTT through it. I will link to the game on Forge in the Discord.

Homebrew rules
Touchstones: Kindred can have non-mortal human touchstones like ghouls or other vampires, as long as they have at least ONE mortal human touchstone. Combat: Larger combats have an initiative tracker. Allowing for multiple dodges per round, but at an increasing penalty for each dodge. Projects: A simplified project system, that lets player characters gain upgrades during downtime.

How Dominik creates a safe table
Players will be given a Lines and Veils form to fill out. I have a Foundry module for digital safety cards, and a sound queue in the Discord, in case you want to ask something without interrupting.
