About the adventure
Rumored to be associated with metallic dragons, the Golden Vault is a secretive organization almost impossible to track. However, those in the know are aware that the organization rights moral wrongs and handles situations local authorities won’t touch. The Golden Vault’s motto reflects its primary motivation: “Do good, no matter the cost.” Missions from the Golden Vault are often illegal, but always support a just, moral cause. Those missions are where you and your crew of misfits come in. Ranging from simple grab jobs to interplanar information gathering, your crew will be faced with plenty of dangers and intrigue across 11+ heist-themed one-shots that are loosely interconnected. This is a Dungeons & Dragons 5e adventure, set in the Forgotten Realms. No prior TTRPG experience required!

About me
Hello! I'm Peter (he/him), a 28-year-old who discovered a deep love for tabletop roleplaying in undergrad. I have been the voluntold DM for over 6 years! Luckily for me, it turned out to be one of the best hobbies I could ever ask for. I've had a couple of chances to play since i started, but DMing has almost always fallen to me (gladly). Since recently moving to Europe from the US, I have been trying to get back into DnD as something that reminds me of home. I adore storytelling in all its forms and across all genres, especially vibrant and exciting worlds that make you want to explore every corner of the map! My campaigns usually lean towards high-magic/ high-fantasy, but with a decent amount of humor mixed in with the serious. Hope you can join me!

Creating your character
Character creation should be completed before the first session. Consider creating characters suited to undertaking heists, though your interpretation of that can be as traditional or unique as you like. Stats should be determined using the 4d6, drop the lowest method. Characters must be created on D&D Beyond—the campaign link can be found in the prepped materials section and on Discord.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A microphone is required, along with Roll20, D&D Beyond, and Discord accounts. Characters should be created beforehand, and players should have a basic understanding of the rules. However, if you need help, feel free to reach out—we can schedule time to go over everything together!
What Peter brings to the table
I run a D&D Beyond game with tons of unlocked content, immersive maps on Roll20, and a fully integrated Discord with bot support for smooth gameplay. Expect full-hearted attempts at voices for the NPCs and curated playlists to set the mood for every scene. We’ll be using D&D 5e rules, but Rule of Cool can sometimes overrule the crunchiness.

Safety
How Peter creates a safe table
We'll be using Lines and Veils to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone. Each player will submit their preferences, which will then be compiled and shared anonymously in the Discord for transparency/reference. Before the campaign begins, you'll have a free 15-30 minute one-on-one Session 0 with the DM. This is a chance to go over safety tools and character readiness, making sure you're comfortable and excited to jump in. During the game, X, N, and O cards can be sent privately to the DM via Discord, allowing for quick adjustments to keep the experience fun and safe. If you ever need to step back or voice a concern, your comfort always comes first!
