About the adventure
Welcome to Daggerheart — where stories are shared, choices matter, and heroes are forged together. This is a fully collaborative Daggerheart campaign, designed to blend narrative depth, emotional storytelling, and player creativity. In our Session 0, we’ll create the world and its tone as a group—defining realms, factions, myths, and the threads that tie your characters together. From there, we’ll step into a living world shaped by your ideals, failures, and triumphs. Expect a campaign full of cinematic moments, heartfelt decisions, and dynamic consequences. The system rewards roleplay, teamwork, and bravery—successes shine, but even your failures tell the story of your hero’s heart. Together, we’ll craft a saga filled with friendship, sacrifice, and discovery. New to Daggerheart? No problem! I’ll walk everyone through the rules, create character sheets together, and help you get comfortable with the rhythm of play. The goal is to make sure every player feels welcome, supported, and immersed—whether this is your first game or your hundredth. Game Highlights Session 0 world-building and tone creation. (Free) Character-driven storytelling shaped by your choices. Balanced mix of roleplay, exploration, and dramatic action. Accessible for new players, rewarding for veterans. Open-table safety tools and a respectful, inclusive environment. What to Expect: Each session builds on your characters’ hopes, fears, and bonds. You might become defenders of a fragile realm, seekers of lost truths, or rebels against impossible odds—but no two campaigns will ever be the same. The story belongs to us all. If you’ve ever wanted to help build the map, define the legends, and see your ideas come alive through play—this campaign is your invitation. Bring your imagination, your curiosity, and your heart. Let’s tell a story worth remembering.

About me
Welcome, traveler! I’m Aaron — your potential ttrpg guide, nightmare wrangler, and architect of fantastical mayhem. I’m currently based in Germany (yes, land of pretzels and punctuality), which makes me a great match for fellow early risers, night owls, or anyone looking for a time-slot-friendly GM outside standard U.S. hours. I specialize in rich, homebrew worlds like my recently created setting, Somnia — a realm of dreams and nightmares, mysterious idols, and beautifully broken characters. My games strike a balance between roleplay-heavy drama, tactical combat, and occasional chaos goblin energy (from the NPCs, obviously). Whether you’re brand new or a 100-session vet, I’ll help you feel right at home — and then promptly throw that home into a realm of arcane mist and moral dilemmas. Come for the story. Stay for the trauma bonding. And snacks. Bring snacks...

Creating your character
Character creation begins in Session 0. Together, we’ll build not just your characters but the world they inhabit. You’ll choose your Origin, Calling, and Community, defining the emotional and narrative foundation of your hero. We’ll collaborate to tie your characters together through shared memories, relationships, and themes—creating a party that feels like it truly belongs in the world we’re building. I’ll guide new players through the process step-by-step and help experienced players find deeper narrative hooks. Level & Stats: Characters start at Level 1, using standard Daggerheart creation rules. Resources Provided: Digital character sheets on Demiplane. Step-by-step rules overview for Daggerheart’s unique heart-and-hope system. (You will gain access to my purchases on Demiplane as well). Optional pre-generated characters for new players who want a quick start as well as the ability to make your character from scratch. The goal is simple: everyone leaves Session 0 with a hero they’re excited to play, grounded in a world we’ve created together or if a foundation is needed I can provide a homebrewed world of my own creation as well.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need to have a Discord for communication. You will need a Demiplane account to be able to join and use their digital system. Roll20 for all of us to interact with the world map that we will refine together. No prior experience is required! I’ll provide all teaching materials, walkthroughs, and resources before we start. Just bring curiosity and a willingness to collaborate.
What Meyrden brings to the table
As your Game Master, I focus on immersive storytelling, emotional investment, and player agency. You can expect: Atmospheric music and soundscapes to set the tone. Dynamic storytelling where every roll matters and every choice echoes through the narrative. A balanced mix of exploration, social interaction, and dramatic moments. Respectful pacing to ensure everyone’s voice is heard. My GMing style blends cinematic storytelling with collaboration—I encourage bold ideas, meaningful roleplay, and creative problem-solving. Expect heartfelt stories, laughter, and the occasional plot twist you didn’t see coming. I bring structure without rigidity, guiding the story’s rhythm while ensuring you always feel ownership of the world we build together.
Homebrew rules
Homebrew / Table Rules We’ll play Daggerheart RAW as the base. In addition, I use a few table-only tweaks (not official): Session 0 Worldbuilding Framework: collaborative prompts to define factions, cultures, key locations. “Hope & Heart” Tokens (optional): small narrative bennies for standout roleplay; details reviewed in Session 0. Gentle Failure Safety: when a roll would derail fun or consent, we pivot to a consequence-with-complication instead of a hard stop. All tweaks are reviewed and agreed on in Session 0. If the group prefers no homebrew, we’ll play RAW only and remove this section.

How Meyrden creates a safe table
Player comfort and safety are my top priority. We’ll establish and review safety tools together in Session 0 before play begins. This includes: Session Debriefs: Each session ends with a short reflection to discuss tone and ensure everyone feels respected and heard. Open Door policy absolutely applies. Our table is inclusive and welcoming to players of all backgrounds, identities, and experience levels. The focus is on storytelling, community, and shared joy in creation.
