Above average stats (5D6 omit the lowest 2 die). Rolling for all stats in group then assigning to abilities. - Aiming for a balanced party. - All rolls done in discord server for fairness - Multiclassing is encouraged, prestige classes from dungeons masters guide will also be available for use once requirements are met. - New players will take more time to create, happy to assist in session zero to help with ideas. - Keep backstories as vague as possible to help fit into campaign setting - 2700 starting gold, no single item can cost more than 1000 gold pieces (GP). - Hirelings available, mounts available, wagons available - Trained pets available for purchase

The current party

Left alone to face the dangers within, the party bravely entered the crypt and did battle with the forces within. After a devastating volley of magic missile that nearly robed Vaelith of his life and the liberal application of draining necromancy spells, the party was left drained but victorious. They elected to retreat with the surrendered captive(s), the two warriors/mercenaries that accompanied the caravan. Having spared them and having saved the life of the one brother, they both swore to defend them against their former employers (whom they had no love for to begin with). The newly reinforced party consolidated their strength, and in the waning light of the midday sun the entered the crypt again with the intention of eliminating the threats within. The knight/priest Derreck Avemore did not idle while the party healed outside the crypt. the party found the large hallways infested with the animated bones of the dead. Nearly 2 dozen skeletons crowded the corridor separating the party from their quarry, the priest and the young vampire boy. The battle was fierce and slow going, with Vaelith at the fore the party battled for each inch of the hallway. With the hallway clear of undead the party now once again face the entry into the Ossuary where they are certain Avemore awaits them, amongst the bones of hundreds of dead. With the threat of the vampire returning from the unexplored area of the crypt, the party stele themselves for the dangers ahead.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We will be using Discord (players will receive all links during session 0), ensure you have a camera and microphone that are ready to play at session start. Roll20 is sometimes used so be sure to be enrolled with them. We will make sure all players sheets are complete and have all resources (such as animal companions, spell lists, rules for item activation etc.) available to encourage smooth and efficient gameplay.

Homebrew rules

- Wizards and casters that require components for spells that cost under a silver are assumed to be collecting them on the go. - Can purchase spell component pouches in towns that offer the service. - Max HP at every level to give players better survivability. - Stat rolls are more elite (5D6 remove lowest 2 die) for above average stats. - There are a few homebrew creatures, mostly animals that are not available in the Monster Manual to create more realistic ecosystems. - Free Reroll 1/character 1/session. Safety

How Ryan Smith creates a safe table

Session 0 is a great place to start. There we will outline what the campaign setting includes (Monsters, Events, Theme) and have people share (in private if necessary) their individual preferences AFTER having read what is already established in the campaign notes including the Lines and Veils. We will have regular breaks along with good debriefing practices to ensure that future sessions allow everyone to feel safe as well as ensure the content is engaging. We will use X,N, and O cards and do a session review to make sure everything is moving forward in everyone's comfort zone.
