About the adventure
This story can be played solo if requested. The Goddess Eilistraee has long sought to reclaim the Drow, rescue them from Lolth, and return them to the sunlight. In this campaign you will embark upon that storyline—not as destined saviors, but as survivors who must become heroes. This is a dark-fantasy saga about transformation: from captivity and erasure to purpose, agency, and the power to change the fate of a broken world. This is an adult-only game with mature themes and explicit content, handled with care, consent, and clear boundaries. In the first chapter, players begin with nothing after being captured by a tribe of orc cannibals. They will need to forge bonds, undermine their captors and plan their escape into a lethal desert where their heroic rise will begin. In later chapters, players can expect a City of Sin, romanceable NPC's, an unforgiving Underdark and a finale in the Abyss. This campaign is for players who want a long-form arc: evolving from prisoners to champions, from fugitives to leaders, and ultimately to heroes capable of confronting cosmic threats and helping save a world teetering on the edge of darkness.

Creating your character
As the story centers around the Eilistraee, the main questline is recommended for female Elven characters. Players should tailor their character creation with that in mind. A quick search will find awesome lore and videos. Or ask me. You can create a character draft before session 0 but feel free to wait until during or after to finalize. I do not mind rerolling characters a few sessions in if you have a change of heart. You can choose any alignment, however, the story is intended for good characters. (or at least an overall 'good' party.) A simple backstory would help to start, but it is not necessary. I would hope that we expand upon it as the campaign progresses as I will tie it to a personal quest. Use point buy or standard array for stats. Or feel free to roll 4d6's publicly in session 0. Best thing to do is chat with me and bounce ideas about PC's that may or may not fit. If you have any special requests check with me first.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will use D&D Beyond for Character Sheets, BattleMaps and Dice Rolls. We will use a simple Discord server for Voice and general game information. If you are new to D&D, not a problem. I can guide you through character creation and gameplay.
What Jesse brings to the table
Roleplay > Dice Rule of Cool > Rules as Written Realism > Skill Checks Custom Battlemaps, NPC's and artwork. Personal quests tied to backstory, homebrew and downtime.
Homebrew rules
Lots of Homebrew available to customize your PC's. A few sessions in, you will receive personal feats/items based on your backstory that we will collaborate on ensuring nothing is game-breaking and on par with your companions.

How Jesse creates a safe table
This is a classic good vs evil adventure and the bad-guys do bad stuff. Players can expect an 'R-rated' dark fantasy adventure with mature themes. Fade to black for scenes with sexual or explicit content, unless the players desire to proceed. Discussions on content, gameplay and consent will occur during Session 0 and ongoing.
