About the adventure
Welcome to the furthest north anyone has ever ventured. where the sun has not risen in more then two years and Auril, God of winters wrath, cast an endless winter upon the land. This game is designed to be fighting for each inch and and looking back at how much youve helped the people of ten towns. This is normally how the game is set up with survival rules, tracking food and ammunition as you can die around any corner but I am more then happy to work with my players. Figure out what level of challenge we want from our game and im even down for teaching new people how to play through the game. Exploring the different ten towns and the surrounding wilderness to get more and more powerful. Just like every normal adventure youll start with helping out some villagers fish and end with trying to kill a god to end the endless night and winter as the only form of light for a "day" being the aurora borealis created from Aurils magic. You will also be given secrets to meld your characters more and more with the Campaign that will drive your characters with a boon or a problem they need to fix. I am excited top run this adventure with you all and see how youll get the sun to rise again.

About me
With more then 10 years of DMing I am happy to start a new world with you. I have experience with both small parties that are sometimes a single player and large parties with once running a Westmarch with more then 20 players. I enjoy empowering my players to tell the story they want to tell with their characters. I like to be accommodating to any of my players needs, descriptive with environments and combat, and try to be fair but firm in my ruling. TTRPGs are a great experience for everyone to enjoy and there is so many stories we can still tell. I hope i can be the dm for you to tell these stories. I would also love to learn new systems so excited to eventually run them for more players

Creating your character
We will be making character in session 0 and rolling for what your secret would get. I would say roll in game for your stats but if its bellow the point total of a point buy then you can point buy Unless players request it
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players should just have a Discord account to join a call together otherwise ill be providing the VTT and the music. Just come to have a good time and ill try and provide the rest
What Jack brings to the table
I try to stay in character through out the game and speak to the other players as their characters so they stay in character too. I do enjoy tactical combat so there will be a bit of a challenge with each combat. This doesnt mean i follow the rule book to the letter but I prefer to use the rule of cool and let my players do something they think their character could or would do. Music is really important to me so i try to set the mood for each occasion. I am fully down for a game of being Guts from Berserk but I also love comedy so we should all be fine to lauph at our own mistakes and see where they take us
Homebrew rules
i dont like taking players turns with paralyzed and stunned, cause doing nothing sucks, so ill be using other debuffs. I use flanking but any summons or minions do not give flanking. I am ok with homebrew but I request homebrew to all be run by me first. This is a SFW game. I am fine with any romance and flirting in games as long as its both consensual but I just don't want to bog down the game. There's nothing stopping you from continuing in dms. I try to make this a fun experience for everyone, but of course I will fail at that sometimes. If I ever make you feel uncomfortable, please tell me. If I ever make contradictory rulings, please tell me. Feedback is always appreciated. Communicate with each other. If you feel someone is uncomfortable at the table, check in with them if I don't do so. Talk your plans through with each other. Generally don't just keep to yourself. This is a group activity, so be a group. no PvP unless all affected players are interested. This is more to stop yall from fighting each other for every minor inconvenience but you can still fight each other. Just dont do any of these: steal from the party, hide crucial information, get others into situations that might kill them deliberately, etc. All these things can, of course, still happen but dont be "that player". When rolling for skills ask me before rolling or RP the situation and I will tell you what to roll, otherwise I will not count it. You can take the initiative just dont go declaring an action before I told you whether its possible or not.

How Jack creates a safe table
I will be providing a way for players to send me their Lines and Veils so we know where to avoid in the game and will most certainly make this a topic in session zero. After each session I like to ask any pros or cons to my game so i can grow as a dm and we can all get a better game in the end. Also after sessions I like to get a run down from my players, what was too much, what was almost too much. I want to make sure my players are excited and happy to play before and after the game. It may be harder to do x, n, and o's over the internet but i will gladly check on players during each break or pause in the game. feel happy to even message me during the game and i can adjust
