About the adventure
Short term campaign roughly 10-12 sessions based on the brilliant new One for Sorrow books. Each session will provide a narrative based level up opportunity allowing you to play out Levels 1 through 10 of your character. Step onto a lonely forest road where the trees lean close, magpies watch from the branches, and every choice echoes longer than it should. One for Sorrow: A Daggerheart Adventure is a dark fantasy campaign steeped in mystery, tension, and creeping eldritch dread. You’ll guard caravans through ancient woods, wager pieces of yourself in places that shouldn’t exist, and uncover secrets that were never meant to surface. The road is dangerous. The village beyond it is worse. This campaign unfolds using three immersive adventures - from the One for Sorrow series - each filled with haunting art, bespoke soundtracks, and atmospheric storytelling designed to pull you deep into the world. Together they tell a single escalating tale of corruption, strange forces, and difficult choices: The Road to Thornborough (levels 1–3) — A perilous journey through oppressive forest paths where survival and trust are tested. Whispers in the Mist (levels 3–5) — A mystery-drenched village gripped by disappearances, omens, and rising dread. The Malice Beneath (levels 5–7) — A city of jagged stone and buried secrets, where power hums beneath the surface. Across roughly 10 sessions, you’ll experience escalating action, investigative mystery, tense roleplay, and cinematic combat. Expect moral choices, body-horror touches, fate-twisting bargains, and enemies that feel unsettling rather than simple. The tone blends folk horror, dark fantasy, and character-driven drama, with space for humour and heroism in the face of the unknown. This game is perfect for players who love immersive storytelling, meaningful consequences, and a world that reacts to their decisions. Whether you’re new to Daggerheart or a seasoned roleplayer, you’ll find a welcoming table focused on collaboration, atmosphere, and memorable moments. If you enjoy mystery, suspense, and the thrill of stepping into the dark with only a lantern and your companions beside you — this road is waiting.

About me
Hi there thanks for finding me. I’ve been running a DND campaign as a DM for almost two years with a group and have joined a second group as a player. I have been exploring Daggerheart as a system and is my new passion! I believe every game is a story we tell together: equal parts laughter, drama, and “wait, did that just happen?!” I thrive on bringing characters to life, weaving your backstories into the world, and throwing in the right mix of heart and chaos to keep everyone on their toes.

Creating your character
You would create a character using demiplane ahead of the first session. You will initially start at Level 1. If you have Demiplane access, please create your character there. You’re very welcome to lean into themes and backgrounds as you like. If you need access to additional Demiplane content, please DM me your email address and I’ll add you in.

What GM DarkSpyder brings to the table
I bring cinematic storytelling and humor to every table: expect atmospheric music, shifting tones, and full-on character voices (especially for villains and NPCs). Social roleplay is key to the table. Combat is fast, cinematic, and meaningful, focusing on creative player choices over strict tactics. I fully embrace the Rule of Cool. If it’s clever, funny, or badass, we will try and make it work. Expect a balance of tension and laughter, moral chaos, and moments that feel like you’re in a movie you helped write.
