About the adventure
The days are getting shorter, the leaves are beginning to fall, and time is running short to secure a marriage proposal before Winter begins and brings an end to carriage rides to country estates and promenades about the park. It's time for one last hurrah, whether that means meddling in the affairs of others, securing a love match, making sure you have plenty of marriage options, humiliating your rival cousin or breaking off your unwanted engagement. Whatever your goal, you must at least stir up a bit of scandal to provide *something* to talk about over the dull Winter months. A Quick Succession of Busy Nothings is a 8-10 session game of Good Society that is beginner-friendly, but uses a custom playset that may be new to those who have played before. This listing includes a free Session Zero, during which we will go over safety tools, create characters, and flesh out the setting. Content note: This game includes romance between player characters. Although this game takes place during the Regency Era, we will decide as a table during the session zero how we want gender roles and queerness to influence this setting. Racism will not be a factor.

About me
Hello! I have been GMing since 2018, and streaming games since 2020. I started off playing Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition (the game I started in 2018 is still going!) but have since become passionate about indie games, and have now run more than 60 different games. I love finding what kinds of stories each game tells well, and leaning in to that. As a GM, I love to incorporate people's backstories and character ideas, and usually base my games around those things. I'm also passionate about using safety tools and making sure everyone at the table is comfortable and having fun. My games usually have a humorous spin, but I enjoy including drama (and melodrama) in even the silliest of games. Outside of GMing, I love to cook, play video games, and am teaching myself video editing.

Creating your character
Good Society uses Playsets for character creation. Playsets provide each player with a Desire and Relationship, which are exactly what they sound like. Desires are a single goal your character will be working toward. Relationships determine your relationship with other player characters (aka Major Characters). I will include a suggested Role and Family Background for each Major Character, but players will be able to choose their own if they'd like. From there, players can decide on their Major Character's name, age, appearance, and other aspects of their personality, as well as one Connection (a side character who your Major Character is connected to).

What Taylor Felicity brings to the table
I will provide a PDF of the rules for Good Society, as well as other documents and cheat sheets. We will use a Google Sheet playspace to keep track of characters and other aspects of the game. I will create a Spotify playlist to set the mood of the game that players can listen to if they like. I will record the session so that I can take detailed notes afterwards, and will provide those notes to players. I can also provide players with the session recording. This game will be very beginner-friendly, and I am happy to explain things as much as needed to facilitate play. This game will have the tone of a Romantic Comedy. The stakes will be high for some of the characters, and character missteps will have consequences, but nothing that can't be rectified by the end of the story. Even when things are going poorly for your Primary Character, my goal is for everyone at the table to have fun. The story will be highly collaborative. Players will control not only their Major Character, but can also take control of Connections (NPCs who are connected to other Major Characters). As Facilitator, I will teach/remind everyone of the rules of the game, usher us through the stages of play, and provide drama and complications to keep the story moving.

How Taylor Felicity creates a safe table
During the Session Zero, we will go over Lines and Veils, as well as things we want to happen during the game, and how we want gender roles and queer identity to be handled during the game. Players will have the option to let me know of Lines and Veils privately. If at any point in the game anyone is uncomfortable with the content of the game, they can verbally or via Discord message X (which will stop play) or N (which will prompt a fade to black, retcon, or end to the scene, whatever needs to happen). After each session, there will be time for Stars and Wishes, where players can talk about things they liked during the session, things they wish had gone differently, and things they wish to happen in future games.
