About the adventure
Rokugan is a (mainly) Japanese inspired fantasy setting where the players take the role of Samurai, the nobility of Rokugani society. After a period of 300 years of Peace, Rokugan had just ended a bloody civil war that shook Samurai society to its core. Now, 5 years later, the new Emperor Tora has summoned Samurai from every corner of Rokugan for a special audience; something that has never occurred in the entirety of Rokugani History. As a Collaborative storyteller, I invite my players not just to witness this historic, monolithic occasion in Rokugani History, but through your choices and actions in the story, to truly influence the outcome of Rokugan's fate as it balances on the precipice of destruction. Which way will YOU push the story?

Creating your character
Character creation is easy! L5R 5e has your character sheet ready to play after answering just 20 questions. I will help everyone to answer those questions fully and make sure you make an informed decision with your character. Additionally, if character creation isn't for you, I have a host of regenerated characters for you to choose from in order for us to jump right in and play. However, I do encourage everyone to answer the 20 questions because it helps players understand a lot of the game's core motifs and core functions
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Discord and Roll20 accounts are required, and you will be invited to join the campaign server.
What Ochu brings to the table
Resources for playing including core rulebook, splatbooks with additional content and resources, and a dynamic collaborative storytelling from a 5 year improv actor and voice extraordinaire. WE tell the story together ❤️
Homebrew rules
There are opportunities for homebrew throughout l5r, and we will discord that as is appropriate. I am always open to homebrew something with my players!
