About the adventure
Fire. Shadow. Darkness. An ancient evil wakes in the mines of Moria, threatening the serenity of the land once more. In the silver havens of Lothlórien and the wind-carved towers of Minas Tirith, whispers speak of the Enemy rising beyond watchful eyes. Black sails stain the Anduin. Strange fires flicker through the mists of the Misty Mountains. Gathered by a notable patron, our Fellowship stands ready to change the fate of Middle-earth—for better or worse. From cozy taverns and the green pastures of the Shire to warg hunts and desperate sieges, our adventurers must walk forgotten roads, parley with wary allies across the realm, uncover ancient lore and lost artifacts, and descend into shadowed ruins where the Enemy gathers strength. You can expect a campaign filled with wonder and exploration and magical and impactful moments, taking us all over Eriador, with Moria being the late endgame arc of our story. Creating your character
Character creation will occur during session 0, and premade characters are available. You can find the link in the prep materials and read about the 6 Callings of the game: Captain, Champion, Messenger, Scholar, Treasure Hunter and Warden. We will be using The One Ring 2e core rules.
Every other Monday, starting with the 2nd of March and then alternating.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need access to Discord as well as a stable internet connection for the game and a quiet surrounding. Dice can be either physical or virtual, and cameras are encouraged but optional. The game is built with beginners in mind, so no prior knowledge of the rules is necessary.
