About the adventure

You have been knighted by a Seer and sent to a strange and dangerous realm, far from your homeland. You are not afraid, for you have sworn The Oath: Seek the Myths. Honor the Seers. Protect the Realm. You know what you must do. Mythic Bastionland is a land after the age of heroes. Crowns are broken, legends are uncertain, and knights wander a strange realm bound by oaths whose meaning is never fully clear. The world is shaped as much by belief and interpretation as by steel. In this game, myths are ambiguous and contradictory by nature. What is true emerges through play—through the oaths you swear, the ideals you embody, and the choices you make when certainty is impossible. The land responds to your actions with lasting consequences, shaping how its stories are understood rather than neatly resolved. This is a player-driven campaign focused on exploration, interpretation, and consequence. I emphasize consistent tone, collaborative storytelling, and meaningful choices over scripted plots. This table is ideal for players who enjoy mythic fantasy, moral ambiguity, and shaping a living world together rather than chasing definitive answers.

About me

Greetings! I´m Daniel. For the past few years, I have served as the “Forever DM” for my family and friends, running D&D, Pathfinder and Call of Cthulhu. Now, I am setting my sights on the “indie Horizon,” starting with the incredible Mythic Bastionlands. My GM style: I believe the best stories come from player ingenuity, not just the rulebook. My table focuses on collaborative storytelling—I present the world, but you decide how to change it. Why play with me? Player Perspective: As someone who recently started being a player again, I know exactly what it feels like to sit on your side of the screen. I prioritize pacing, agency, and ensuring every player gets their moment in the spotlight. New Systems, No Stress: I specialize in introducing players to new games. If you’ve always wanted to try a TTRPG that isn't the "same old stuff," we can explore it together. I'm always open to learning new games and bringing fresh experiences to our table. Bilingual GM (English & Spanish) I offer distinct tables for both languages. Whether you want to roleplay in English or are looking for a dedicated campaign in Spanish, I deliver the same high-quality immersion and professional storytelling for both. ¡Se habla Español! We can run games to practice either lenguage.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will happen during a free Session 0. In that session, we’ll align on tone, themes, and table expectations, then create characters together so everyone starts on the same page. For Mythic Bastionland, characters are knights defined by their oath, role, and personal history. Players may roll for their knight or choose from available options—which approach we use will be decided collaboratively at the table during Session 0. This ensures the method fits the group’s desired tone and style of play. All characters will begin at the standard starting point for the system. No prior system knowledge is required, and all character creation will use the core Mythic Bastionland rules only. I’ll guide players through the process and answer any questions along the way. This approach is designed to make character creation accessible, collaborative, and tightly integrated with the story we want to tell.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

To prepare for the game, players only need to join the Discord server where we’ll communicate and play, and have access to either digital or physical dice. No prior experience with Mythic Bastionland is required. All additional guidance, character creation, and table expectations will be covered during the free Session 0.

What Daniel brings to the table

I provide pre-made character sheets for knights and their associated myths, making it easy to jump into play without heavy preparation. Players will also receive a full-color regional map, created by me, with multiple realms to choose from so the group can decide where their journey begins. To support immersion, I use ambient music to set the mood and reinforce the mythic tone of the setting. While I don’t focus on distinct character voices, I vary tone and description to convey atmosphere and narrative clarity. My GM style prioritizes storytelling and player choice over rigid performance or tactical optimization. I reference the rules carefully, involve players when interpretation is needed, and apply rulings consistently. When a decision is difficult or unclear, I’m happy to lean into the Rule of Cool to keep the game moving and memorable. This approach is designed to create a collaborative, focused table where the story grows naturally from player decisions and shared interpretation.

Safety

How Daniel creates a safe table

Player safety and comfort are a priority at my table. We use established safety tools to ensure everyone can engage with the game confidently and enjoyably. The primary tool used during play is the X-Card, which can be activated at any time if a player feels uncomfortable. Players may tap the card or type an “X” in chat, and the group will immediately pause to change, rewind, or skip the content—no explanation required. We will also hold a Session 0 to align expectations, tone, and themes, and to introduce and discuss all safety tools. During Session 0, we will establish Lines and Veils to set boundaries around content. Lines are hard limits that will not appear in the game, while Veils allow content to exist off-screen or behind a fade-to-black. These boundaries can be revisited and adjusted at any point. When helpful, we may also define “Ask First” and “Yes Please” topics. Finally, we include group debriefing as part of our safety practices. Debriefing may happen immediately after a session or in the days following, giving players space to reflect on the game, highlight what worked well, address any concerns, and manage potential emotional bleed. This approach is meant to create a respectful, collaborative environment where players feel safe exploring mythic themes together.
