About the adventure
Curse of Strahd is a dreary, gothic horror campaign, where a group of outsiders find themselves spirited away to the gloomy forest valley of Barovia, and find themselves pitted against the dread vampire Countess Strahdvika von Zarovich in order to secure their way home. This particular campaign has been converted to Pathfinder Second Edition, and heavily modified and rewritten using DragnaCarta's Curse of Strahd: Reloaded and my own additions and modifications. This adventure will bring characters from levels 1-12, from desperate survivalists to battle-hardened heroes.

About me
I am 30 years old, have been playing D&D since I was 5, and have been a DM off and on since I was 16. I inherited my love of tabletop games from my parents, so it feels like a family tradition in a lot of ways. TTRPGs also help me express my creativity and storytelling in a way that no other medium has, and are my favorite forms of socialization. I am passionate about my games, and always do my best to bring my maximum effort to the table. Besides D&D, I love Star Wars, board games, witchy things, and just about anything nerdy or geeky.

Creating your character
Although it is encouraged to have a rough character concept, character construction will take place during Session Zero. Characters will be built and stored in FoundryVTT. All characters will start at Level One, making use of Remaster versions of all character options where appropriate. Any Uncommon or Rare character options or equipment will require DM approval. During play we will be making use of the Free Archetype variant rule, with the caveat that your Free Archetype feats cannot be used for Class Archetypes. Characters will be native to Golarion (the traditional Pathfinder setting), having no knowledge of Barovia, its legends or its history before the start of the game.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players should have accounts for both Discord and ForgeVTT, as well as a working microphone. Links for the Discord server and the Forge server will be provided upon approval.
What Sigil brings to the table
Expect to see a large collections of custom maps that I assemble myself utilizing assets by Forgotten Adventures, carefully curated music from across several of my favorite video games and ambience from Tabletop Audio. Experience climactic, tactical combats entwined with deep, emotional character moments as your protagonists balance the importance of good deeds against the needs of their own survival. Though the vast majority of the game will adhere to the Rules as Written, there will be moments for both players and opponents where the rules of fiction will take precedent. In the end, the story trumps all!
Homebrew rules
We will be making use of Free Archetype, with the restriction that Free Archetype feat slots cannot be used for Class Archetypes.

Safety
How Sigil creates a safe table
Curse of Strahd, by it's very nature as a gothic horror campaign, touches on a very large amount of sensitive content and potential triggers that make it difficult to be truly comprehensive. As such, we will be discussing many of the larger themes during Session Zero, but if you have an specific triggers, I *strongly* encourage you reach out and inform me, even in private, and we can try to eliminate or alter scenes that may contain those triggers. I have a module installed into Foundry that allows for the use of specific safety tools, which we will also discuss during Session Zero. After each session, I like to take at least 10-15 minutes to discuss the contents of the session, to ensure everyone's comfort with and enjoyment of the game and its themes.
