About the adventure
You were turned into a vampire less than six months ago. You have no status. No patron. No seat at any table. And in this city, no one holds uncontested power. Ancient factions compete for influence in the shadows. 🩸 The Camarilla offers stability, tradition, and protection — if you accept their authority. 🩸 The Anarchs promise freedom and power for those bold enough to take it. 🩸 The Ministry whispers of faith, temptation, and liberation from the lies of vampire society. None of them trust each other. All of them are watching the newest vampires in the city. And now something has gone wrong. A feral vampire begins killing in your hunting grounds, threatening the Masquerade and drawing dangerous attention. Unfortunately, the blame is falling on your coterie. Handle it poorly, and you’ll be dismissed as reckless fledglings. Handle it well? 🩸 The city might finally start to notice you. The Chronicle You begin as newly embraced vampires, still learning the rules of the undead world. The opening story introduces the dangers of unlife — hunting, secrecy, faction politics, and the struggle to hold onto your humanity. After that initial crisis resolves, the direction of the chronicle opens up based on your choices. Your coterie will decide: 🩸 Which factions you trust — or betray 🩸 What territory you claim as your domain 🩸 Which allies you cultivate 🩸 Which enemies you create 🩸 What kind of vampires you ultimately become Some coteries pursue power and influence. Some fight to remain independent in a city full of predators. Some struggle to hold onto what little humanity they have left. The city reacts to all of it. Allies remember. Enemies plot. Power shifts. What to Expect: 🩸 Political intrigue between rival vampire factions 🩸 Territory and domain conflicts 🩸 Character-driven storytelling 🩸 Personal horror and moral dilemmas 🩸 A reactive city shaped by your choices Every character will have personal goals, relationships, and storylines that influence the chronicle. New Players Welcome 🩸 No prior experience with Vampire: The Masquerade is required. Your characters begin as newly turned vampires, meaning you’ll learn the world of the undead at the same time your character does. Experienced players will find plenty of room for political maneuvering, faction intrigue, and long-term consequences. 🩸 Have a vampire concept you’re excited about? Message me! I’m happy to help shape characters that fit the city, the factions, and the story we’ll build together.

About me
I’ve been GMing for about six years, mostly online, and I love running story-first games. I spend a lot of time with Star Trek Adventures and Vampire: the Masquerade (5e), and my focus is always on character, tone, and choices that actually matter. My style is roleplay-forward but flexible. I enjoy creating memorable NPCs, giving them distinct voices and personalities, and building longer story arcs that grow over time. I like to keep things immersive, but there’s always room for humor and table banter—this is still a game, after all. I’m especially comfortable running games for new players. I enjoy helping people learn the system, find their footing, and ease into roleplay at their own pace, without pressure to “perform” or already know everything. Players often mention the NPCs, voices, and visual details as standout parts of my games. I put a lot of care into making the world feel alive and giving everyone the tools to engage confidently.

Creating your character
You can create your character during Session 0 with the group, or bring a concept you’d like help building. Session 0 will be collaborative and beginner-friendly. We’ll establish the tone of the chronicle, review safety tools, and connect your characters to each other and the city. 🩸 Your character’s ambitions, relationships, and choices will help shape the direction of the chronicle. Players joining after the campaign begins will have a short one-on-one character creation session to help integrate them smoothly into the story. Your Characters You begin as newly embraced vampires, turned within the last six months. You are not major power players — yet. You’re dangerous, capable, and still learning how the politics and predation of the night truly work. The coterie begins the chronicle with: 🩸 A shared haven (your base of operations) 🩸 A small foothold in the city 🩸 Early connections to factions or important NPCs Characters use standard Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition rules with a small amount of bonus XP to represent early experience. No prior knowledge of Vampire lore is required, and you do not need to own any books. Character Inspiration If you're looking for ideas, here are a few concepts that fit naturally into this chronicle: 🩸 A nightlife regular suddenly pulled into the city’s hidden vampire society. 🩸 A former activist, journalist, or community leader now navigating the politics of immortal predators. 🩸 Someone embraced by mistake — and abandoned to survive among monsters. 🩸 Two characters who knew each other in life and now struggle to survive undeath together. 🩸 An ambitious newcomer determined to climb the ranks of vampire society. These are just starting points. I’m happy to help develop any concept that fits the city and the story. Tools The game is played on Roll20. Demiplane support is optional. A short orientation to these tools will be included during Session 0.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Once you sign up, I’ll send you an invite to our Discord server, which we’ll use for voice chat and general communication. You’ll want a working microphone and either headphones, earbuds, or speakers so you can hear the group (and the ambient music) clearly. We’ll be using Roll20 for character sheets and play. If you don’t already have one, a free Roll20 account is easy to make. When the game starts, you’ll get a direct link to the campaign—no hunting things down or complicated setup. As long as you’ve got a computer that can run Discord and Roll20 at the same time and a decent internet connection, you’ll be good to go. If you ever have trouble getting set up, I’m happy to help.
What Eric brings to the table
🩸 A living city. The factions, NPCs, and power structures of the city react to your actions and evolve as the chronicle unfolds. 🩸 Memorable characters and atmosphere. Distinct NPCs, music, and scene-setting help bring the world of the undead to life. 🩸 Character-driven storytelling. Your ambitions, relationships, and decisions shape the direction of the chronicle. 🩸 Political intrigue and difficult choices. Alliances, betrayals, and shifting power dynamics are central to the story. 🩸 Support for new and experienced players. Rules and setting details are introduced naturally during play, and I’m always happy to help with mechanics or character ideas. 🩸 A welcoming and respectful table. Everyone should feel comfortable contributing to the story and exploring their character.

How Eric creates a safe table
Player comfort and trust matter to me, especially in a game like Vampire where themes can get heavy. Before play begins, I’ll share a Lines and Veils document with the whole group so we can set boundaries together and make sure everyone knows what’s on the table—and what isn’t. During Session 0, we’ll go over that document as a group, talk through tone and expectations, and make sure everyone feels comfortable with the direction of the game. This is also where we’ll cover safety tools, character connections, and anything players want me to be aware of before the story starts. We’ll use the X-Card during play, and it’s always available. It can be used digitally or verbally—whatever feels most comfortable in the moment. I’m also very open to other support tools if players have ones they prefer or have used successfully in the past. Aftercare is handled simply and respectfully. I make space after sessions for check-ins, and players are always welcome to reach out privately if something didn’t sit right or needs follow-up. The goal is a table where people feel safe exploring difficult themes because they know they’re supported.
