About the adventure
Dark Matter is a "Sci-Fantasy" based universe where magic has become so advanced that it's indistinguishable from tech. Everything is based on the 5th edition of "The Greatest Roleplaying Game in the World", better known as D&D. In this campaign, you will all be new mercenaries joining the "Gray Matter Mercenaries Guild" at the same time. This leads to you being joined together as a squad and sent out to solve a whole universe's worth of problems. The Gray Matter Guild handles just about any job that comes their way, which means the job isn't always cut and dry, black and white. It's up to you to figure out what jobs you want to take and who you want to help. I'll make sure that I try to have at least three different missions for you to pick from after each completed mission, that way you can choose the universe you want to help shape. We will hold a FREE session 0 to help you develop expectations and to help me understand what works bet for you! During this session 0 we will work together to make characters and you'll be able to learn more about the universe of Dark Matter!

Hello, привет, and こんにちは! I'm Will Prince and I'm a husband and father of 2. I'm currently fluent in English, Russian, and Japanese and am active duty USAF. I've been a DM for 4 years now and I started off as dungeon master with 5e for a group of friends while I was serving in Germany and found that I loved the world building process and the stories that come from TTRPG's. Since then, I've DM'd countless games of D&D, Alien, and Mother Ship. I've recently started dipping into Marvel Multiverse, Cyberpunk, Lancer, and various OSR TTRPGs! I believe respect and kindness are core components of life and that applies into the games I run as well. Creating your character
We will be creating characters together during our first session together, this will be a free session zero where we will go over everything that Dark Matter has to offer! More than likely we will still be using dice or standard array to determine your attributes. Character creation, as well as, gameplay will take place on a discord server. What to expect
Preparing for the session
Think about the kind of character you'd like to play, are you going to be a dashing scoundrel, outgunning and out running danger to get a job done? Will you be an explorer looking for new planets? Are you a space marine who shoots first, asks questions later? Space is vast! You can be whoever you want to be! We will be using Foundry VTT for gameplay in addition to Discord! If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a DM!
What William brings to the table
As a GM, my goal is to provide an enjoyable and safe experience for you and the rest of the players as we work together to build the world we will be playing in! If you ever feel uncomfortable with anything, there will be the option to send a message either in Foundry or Discord, publicly or privately, saying you'd like something changed. I also try to make sure that when I am roleplaying different characters, that I use different voice, accents, etc. I tend to be pretty flexible with rules (within reason), because at the end of the day, this is a game about making impossible things happen!

How William creates a safe table
Safety first at my table. We try to make sure that we are inclusive and that we take care of each other. If there is something wrong, please bring it up, either in a private message to me or publicly. We will go over rules and expectations during session zero, where I will talk about the X card system. I also like to do a debrief after each session to make sure that everyone enjoyed it and to see if there was anything that players felt like pushed a boundary. Again, you feeling danger as your character? Okay. Your feeling danger as a person? Not okay. My goal is safety and fun, so lets work together to make that happen!
