About the adventure

Our astral adventures begin as you awaken on the shores of an Island town with no idea of what ultimately brought you here. However one things seems clear: for you and your companions there is no escape. Mysteries of this island are unfolding before you. To find your freedom from this place you'll need to uncover the island's secrets, how the party arrived, how to escape, and what darker threat might be looming at the center of it all. As you unravel these mysteries the worlds of Spelljammer will open up. The party will jump from plane to plane across the multiverse to stop this dark lurking threat. As you continue the adventure, you and the party will Spelljam between some of the most popular material planes from D&Ds history, and from other popular media, to stop this terrorizing entity before it can wipe out all existence. This campaign will be a chapter based adventure with each chapter taking part on one the many material planes of the D&D multiverse and beyond.

About me

Hey my name is Ryan I started GM-ing and playing D&D and other TTRPGs like a lot of people during the lockdown year, after dabbling in TTRPGs during High School . I've been DM-ing 2 weekly games since January of 2021 and been on Twitch with them since August of that same year.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character Creation will be done before and up through session zero! I do allow but need to approve homebrew for character creation. (Subclasses, Backgrounds, Feats). We'll be doing a group roll for stats! (Everyone rolls one or more stats)(The group gets two rerolls). I do allow 2024 custom backgrounds.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Please have a D&D Beyond Account and join the Discord and then the Campaign page. Have Discord and message me(Ryryjones on Discord) a character concept and we can work on it before and up through session zero.

What Ryan Jones brings to the table

Before we even begin the game we will get you into my active discord to talk and chat with fellow TTRPG fans, I will be there every step of the way through character creation to make your character immersed in the world and an active participant in the events that unfold. I try and make the game as immersive as we can over the internet this includes: NPC voices! Background music! Scene ambience! Battle maps! and Heroforge Minis! My goal is to make all sessions and combats engaging with a dynamic world and environment where actions and things you do as players matter and shape the story. Create active story telling and roleplay scenarios with interesting challenges that keep players engaged, as I know sitting there waiting to act or react during sessions can be boring. Additionally I do try to stick to the rules but I openly embrace the coolness factor in what you all want to do.

Homebrew rules

Card-ic Inspiration: You'll be given one card at the beginning of session and it expires at the end of it. Initiative: can be your wisdom or dexterity modifier. Better Health Potions: If taken as an action heals the maximum amount. Characters gain a level of exhaustion at the end of combat if they fail a death save during that combat.

How Ryan Jones creates a safe table

Everyone during character creation will fill out a consent form to know what their lines and veils are. If anything not included comes up players can throw up the X whenever and we can rewind or step away from the scene.
