About the adventure
Beast Feast: Campaign Recipe Serves: 4–5 adventurers Prep Time: One session zero Cook Time: 18-20 sessions, rapid leveling from 1-10 Skill Level: Beginner-friendly INGREDIENTS A heaping helping of Delicious in Dungeon (fellowship in food, forgotten depths, and frightful foes) A smidge of minced Hollow Knight (ruins, mystery, a scattered community of characters) Distinct villages, all clinging to survival, for our heroes to hail from 1 forbidden dungeon made from 1 chopped ancient palace (full of a smorgasbord of beasts and blooms) A cracked, barren world surrounding the last remnants of civilization (do not consume) A sprinkling of terrible attempts at character voices (may include accents that wander, volume fluctuations, and regret) Far too many food puns PC backstories to inflict emotional damage At least one weird little guy PREPARATION "Long ago, a great kingdom prospered across the continent, then a cataclysm shattered the land. The earth cracked and withered. From the fissures rose monstrous beasts and unnatural blooms. Civilization collapsed, and the surface world became uninhabitable. As the scourge grew, so too did the peoples hunger. Many heroes fought back against the encroaching horrors. For every creature cut down, more rose to take its place. Among these heroes was Hylaeus the Mage who sought to end the scourge entirely. As the last stronghold of the old world, the capital became a refuge for survivors. Hylaeus placed a powerful magical barrier around it, shielding the city from the beasts and blooms that ravaged the land beyond. For a time, the capital endured, and the mage was celebrated. But then a colossal beast laid siege to the capital. The beast devoured all in its path, including the barrier and the great palace. Hylaeus confronted the colossus in a final battle and petrified its body in a desperate act of magic. Its body turned to stone and earth, but Hylaeus was gravely injured. Her last spell was to create a lure that would draw all the surrounding beasts and blooms of the land to the insides of the petrified colossus where they would wander its insides forever. As centuries past, the remnants of civilization survived atop the mountain of the colossus, and came to call it home." - Village Sage COOKING INSTRUCTIONS Create a character willing to brave the depths Descend into a dungeon shaped by lost history, ancient magic, and ecological nightmares. About me
Hello! A game I run will be sure to include ample opportunities for roleplaying, a dozen or so failed accents and voices, and probably a fair amount of dice rolling I suppose. I have been DMing since 5th edition DND came out, so about 10 years now with no intention of stopping. I've been expanding my love of the hobby playing other games for a few years such as Savage Worlds, Fantasy AGE, and Daggerheart. I'm a writer with a love of storytelling and a performer with a love of characters. I also enjoy some tactical combat and the occasional puzzle to mix things up! So essentially, I LOVE TTRPGs. It took me far too long to discover this passion and I'm making up for lost time!

Creating your character
All characters will come from a village on the mountain and has been tasked to descend into the dungeon due to an increase in monster activity on the surface. We will have a session 0 to assist in any questions in the character creation process as well as collaboratively determine some details for the parties backstories and connections. Character sheets will be on Demiplane. I'll send out a link so you have access to the Daggerheart content.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
First step will be to join a discord server through a link provided once players have booked. Through the discord you will receive a link for Demiplane as well as Owlbear Rodeo which is were all maps for combat will be displayed.
What MimicMiscellany brings to the table
I will do all I can to facilitate a fun, safe, and engaging adventure. This campaign will be a large dungeon crawl but is also a mini sandbox. You will have a clear objective for the quest, but have many opportunities to decide how you will achieve this. Will you save or betray an NPC in need? Will you take path through a rickety ruin or through the twisting vines? Will you eat that questionable glowing fish?

How MimicMiscellany creates a safe table
Once you have booked and before we meet for session 0, I would like to chat 1 on 1 with each player to discuss what they are looking for in the game and get to know them a little before we all start. During our session 0 we will go over standard expectations of play to make sure everyone is on the same page and comfortable. I won't be heavy handed. Joke, swear, express yourself, but be kind and considerate of others. Also during the session 0, or in private, you can tell me any particular phobias or triggers that I should be aware of and I will do my best to avoid it if possible. If it is broad such as gore/violence or adult language this may not be a great fit for you. If it is specific such as snakes, eyes, certain sounds, etc, then that should be easily accommodated. After session 0 you can always message me via discord to discuss any concerns.
