Creating your character

During s0, we will determine what kinds of adventure/progression we're most interested in - whether it be a single arc or a long-term narrative. This will determine what ranks we'll start off on and whether we will use the "Getting Schooled" progression systems from the X-Men and Avengers expansions. From there, you will be provided a Demiplane campaign link and will make your character at the specified ranks in the character builder.

Preparing for the session

Players should have functioning microphones and be confident in their computer's ability to run Owlbear Rodeo, as well as be able to participate in voice calls with minimal disruptions. No installations are necessary. I allow you to roll either physical or digital dice, and I'm not going to hound after you to validate each roll if I can't immediately see it.

What Li brings to the table

I am skilled at improv, acting, and character voices, while also trying my best to be open-minded when it comes to balancing the rules of the game and what's best for the player's experience. I will be providing the Owlbear Rodeo VTT space, including all of the character options from the Marvel Multiverse Core Rulebook, as well as the "Cataclysm of Kang" and "Revenge of the Super-Skrull" adventures, which I intend to run soon - unfortunately I do not own the X-Men expansion yet, so any options within that you want to use will have to be inputted manually. Also, I use a lot of different music that is meant to further immerse yourself in the adventure, which will be handled using the Kenku FM bot on Discord (presuming, of course, that it decides to cooperate with me that day - it can be temperamental). More than anything else, though, I offer a safe space for you to relax, roleplay your characters, and have a good time. Safety and fun are always my top priorities, and I promise to handle any threats to those as diligently and responsibly as possible.

How Li creates a safe table

Lines and Veils will be viewable from the Discord, and X/N/O cards will be available. During the Session 0, we will be discussing the tone and overall structure of the adventure, as well as determining what kind of group dynamic we're working with - are you working in an official superhero team? Were you all in the right place at the right time? How well do you know each other?
