About the adventure
Beneath a leaden sky and the looming shadow of Castle Ravenloft, a living, breathing world of gothic horror awaits. This isn’t just a journey through the classic Curse of Strahd; it is a meticulously crafted experience designed by the "Architect" to be the most immersive campaign you’ve ever joined. Whether you are a veteran vampire hunter or a newcomer answering the call of adventure for the very first time, there is a seat for you at my table. My world is an "open book," and I am here to teach you the systems while we weave a tale of terror, triumph, and destiny together. In my "Den of the Dragon," your character is never just a stat block. I specialize in the seamless integration of backstories, fusing your personal quests and history into the very fabric of the overarching plot. As you traverse the Svalich Woods and face the machinations of Count Strahd von Zarovich, you will find that the world reacts to who you are. Perhaps a relic from your past is the key to a Barovian mystery, or a long-lost rival has been drawn into the Mists alongside you. Your backstory isn't a side note—it is a vital thread in the narrative weave. The Experience: High-Tech Meets High-Horror We play using a heavily automated Foundry VTT setup, designed for maximum cinematic flow. By removing the clunky logistics of manual tracking, we make room for what matters most: deep roleplay and tactical tension. I focus on a "Stealth Intervention" style of GMing, where the world feels alive and dangerous, but safety tools like the Digital X-Card are always at your fingertips to ensure the "greatest fun" for everyone. Our sessions are built on high-quality audio and visual immersion, requiring microphones to ensure every whispered secret and dramatic confrontation lands with impact. Is This Game For You? I am looking for players who are detail-oriented and eager to dive into the lore. If you enjoy: Deep Roleplay: Interacting with complex NPCs and making moral choices that shift the world. Intricate Lore: Discovering how your personal history connects to the ancient secrets of the valley. Tactical Excellence: Using a polished VTT interface to engage in high-stakes combat. Collaborative Storytelling: Building a legend alongside a group that values safety and immersion. Then the Mists are calling your name. Step into a realm where the Count is always watching, but your story is the one that truly matters.

Meet the Game Master
About me
While I began my TTRPG journey during the pandemic, I’ve always known that being a Game Master is where the real magic happens. I truly believe that GMing is the greatest fun a person can have in this hobby, and it’s a role I step into with total passion. While I am a gamer at heart and enjoy my time as a player, my true strength lies in the logistics of campaign creation and the meticulous setup of the world. There is a specific kind of joy I find in the architecture of a story, and I find that my skills really shine when I am building the framework for an epic adventure. My GMing style is a focused blend of preparation, automation, and high-immersion storytelling. I strive to make my players feel like they are part of a living, breathing ecosystem where their actions have weight. If you provide me with a backstory, I don't just read it; I intricately weave your history into the very fabric of the campaign. I adore players who bring me extensive, novel-length backstories because it gives me so much lore to work with, but I also love the "blank slate" approach for the fresh canvas it provides. Whether you have every detail planned or none at all, I will make sure your character feels essential to the world. On the technical side, I utilize Foundry VTT to provide a high-end, automated experience. One of the best perks is that it requires no downloads—as long as you have internet access, you can play directly through your web browser. We use Discord for character creation and live communication. While webcams are entirely optional, a working microphone is required, as typing tends to slow the cinematic pace of the game significantly. I generally record our sessions so I can look back and write detailed summaries, and I’m happy to provide you with copies. However, I have a strict "Full Consent" policy for posting: recordings will never be made public unless every single player agrees. If even one person prefers to keep it private, then private it stays. Above all, I prioritize a safe and respectful environment for everyone at the table. I utilize built-in safety tools within Foundry VTT, and my door is always open for a private message if something or someone is making you feel uncomfortable. I specialize in "stealth interventions," meaning I will do my best to address concerns and resolve issues without drawing unwanted attention to the person who raised them. I am an open book and dedicated to making our game an incredible experience. If you have any questions or are ready to start your journey, don't hesitate to shoot me a message!

Homebrew rules
When drinking a Potion, if you use a full action to drink it, you are considered to have put your full attention into drinking said Potion and gain the full benefits without having to roll. You can also drink a Potion as a bonus action, where you would have to roll to see how effective it is (as some can spill). Also, you may throw a health potion towards a conscious creature of your choosing. If you take an action to do so and the creature you are throwing it to is within 30ft of you then you automatically succeed at throwing it to them and them at catching it (if they are more than 30ft then they roll a dex save DC 10 with an increase of 1 for every additional foot after 30ft so 31ft would be DC11 and 40ft would be DC20). You can also throw a Potion as a bonus action, but you have to roll even within 30ft (Dex save DC10), and after 30ft falls under the same increasing DC as before, but you make the throw at disadvantage. You can also feed a Potion to an unconscious person as well, but you have to be within 5ft of them. When feeding a Potion, you must roll to see how effective it is, with the roll being at disadvantage (unless the unconscious person is stabilized first). Stats are Standard Array, No starting feat, including being a Variant Human. Backstory is important; it will give you personal plot points as well as a connection to the story that is being told. Please do your best to write out a backstory and give it to me ASAP, as I will make edits to it in order to fit it into the story as well as to fully integrate your character into the land and the story, and remember, the more backstory, the better.
