About the adventure

The survivors huddle in the shattered cavern, walls scorched to glass and metal twisted like bones. The air tastes of ozone and burnt wiring, every breath dragging grit into dry throats. Dust drifted through the dim light like sparks from a dying fire. The asteroid had chewed up your ship and spat the wreck into this hollow scar, and somehow it still felt hungry. Behind you, the tunnel to the wreck had collapsed into a fused mass of metal and stone. Somewhere under that heap lay the cargo, the crew, and everything worth saving. The captain hadn’t moved since you dragged him free - his vitals blink faint green on your visor, each pulse weaker than the last. Ahead stands a wall of alien metal, curved and flawless, glowing with veins of pale blue light. The symbols crawling across it seemed to shift when you tried to look straight at them. A deep hum rolls through the cavern, not mechanical but alive, vibrating through your boots like the beat of some buried heart. Radiation warnings scream across your scanner. Then came the sound - distant at first, then growing - like slow thunder rippling through the rock. Impacts. Rhythmic. Intentional. Someone, or something, was hammering the asteroid apart. Each crash shook dust loose and dimmed your lights. The alien door pulsed in time with the bombardment as if it heard the blows. Maybe it was answering. The comms hiss with static. For a heartbeat, voices flickered through - too warped to understand - then silence. The bombardment grows closer, pressing in like a heartbeat from the world above. You and your crew share one look, the choice unspoken: suffocate here, or open the door and face what waits within. The floor trembled. The door flared brighter. Everything went still. You whispered, “What’s next?”

About me

I have been playing and running tabletop RPGs since the earliest days of Dungeons & Dragons, with decades of experience across multiple systems at home tables, online, and conventions like Gamehole Con and Gary Con. My tables prioritize collaborative storytelling, clear rules knowledge, and a relaxed pace that gives every player room to shine. Since the start of the pandemic, I’ve run many hours of online games and am very comfortable with virtual tabletops and voice/video play. I bring the same energy and care to online sessions that I do to in-person games, with a focus on consistency and long-term campaigns. Outside of RPGs, I’m an avid fan of co‑op and PvE video games and love movies of all kinds—especially when they’re on the big screen, where they belong. These interests inform my cinematic approach to encounters, pacing, and scene framing. I have a calm, casual demeanor and it takes a lot to rattle me, which helps keep the table feeling safe and welcoming even when the stakes in-game are high. I’m an ally of the LGBTQ+ community and strive to maintain an inclusive, respectful environment for all players. Also, fair warning: my large orange cat, Leo, is a shameless camera hog and may make guest appearances on stream from time to time.
