About the adventure
If you’re unfamiliar, Obojima is a setting created by 1985 Games, often described as a blend of The Legend of Zelda and Studio Ghibli. My own take leans a bit further into classic JRPG inspiration, especially games like Chrono Trigger. Imagine a post-apocalyptic 1980s Japan layered with a vibrant, whimsical fantasy world: katanas and cassette players, crumbling skyscrapers and floating spirit cities, giant magic koi drifting through the sky. That strange, beautiful collision of nostalgia and magic is the heart of Obojima. 🔹What is a Cameo Player? I like to invite guest players to join my ongoing campaigns, letting their characters step in and fulfill roles that would normally be handled by NPCs. I call these appearances cameos—short one or two-session visits where a character arrives, helps with a specific task or storyline, and then departs. It’s been a fun way to add variety, shake up the party dynamic, and introduce unexpected twists—sometimes even creating lasting consequences for the campaign’s story. 🔹The player type I need I’ve done this many times with a wide variety of player types, and it’s always been a great experience. Whether you’re new to D&D or a seasoned veteran, jumping into an existing group can be a lot of fun. What matters most in this kind of role is enthusiasm—being excited to engage with the party and the story. I’ll provide a small cheat sheet so that when players inevitably start asking questions, you’ll have a solid reference to fall back on. Cameo players also get a bit of “DM-like” freedom: you’re encouraged to draw from your own creativity, introducing ideas that can become canon in the game. We’ll work together to make sure the experience is fun, collaborative, and entertaining for everyone. 🔹Your Story (Dragon Warrior) You live in the spirit city of Uluwa—a vast spirit market thriving in the heart of a post-apocalyptic city surrounded by collasping skyscrapers. To make ends meet, you fight in an underground arena run by an eccentric spirit named Miku who owes you a bit of money at this point. Oh—and did I mention? You’re a dragon. A real dragon. The child of the river dragon Go. For some reason, no one believes you, but it’s absolutely true! When city life becomes too overwhelming, you retreat to your father’s shrine, laughing at the pilgrims who come to bother him with prayers and offerings. He’s a grumpy dragon, but he’s still your dad.

Creating your character
🔹Character Level depends on the point in the story... Delivery Person (Level 3) Dragon Warrior (Level 4) Doomed Survivor (Level 5) Macabre Caretaker (Level 6) 🔹New character options are available, including races, subclasses, and spells. After you establish a new character in my campaign, you will gain access to the Obojima (and my other) sourcebooks. You can use character options outside of the Obojima sourcebook if you like. 🔹Use the 2024 rules for building your character. 2014 options are still available. 🔹Characters can start with a few magic items that would add to the character's flavor. Check with me if there is something you think your character should have.

What Dim Dee Emm brings to the table
I provide a story-driven campaign set in a living world, with clear stakes and meaningful choices. Players can expect a mix of tactical combat, narrative roleplay, and skill challenges. I use light character voices, evocative descriptions, and ambient music to set the tone, prioritizing narrative-driven encounters without slowing play. I generally follow the rules as written, but I’m always open to the "Rule of Cool" when it enhances the story, keeps the game fun, and feels fair to everyone at the table.
