About the adventure

A campfire crackles at the base of a leaning stone. The ground all around is caked in moss and lichen, and the air smells of damp earth. Epimetheus, the eldest of Trees looms in the distance as an old green beetle beckons you closer to the fire. "Crawl forth, brave little knights... Crawl forth into your forgotten dying world. That world you call Litterfall has lost its hope and history alike. This was a different world before the church of La Luna, a world of beauty and wonder. A world before the lands of endless day and night. A world before the Scourge. Back then the pantheon was mighty and diverse and strong. Now, in the wake of the great flood, our world is little more than a dying husk. A corruptive maddening rot plagues the land. The Holy Vermillion Empire enforces the church of La Luna with blind obedience, but heed my words little knights: thwarting the moon goddess is the only way to restore the celestial balance. Are you ready to learn of your forgotten gods? Are you ready to defeat the Scourge once and for all? Are you ready to become the Heroes of Litterfall?" --- Hi there, I'm Daria LeFevre, the co-author of Beetle Knight! I designed 14 of the 20 playable bug species, the bug pantheon, nearly all of the foes, and over half of the random encounters and location descriptions from the official Beetle Knight Core Rules and Litterfall World Guide. I'm also hard at work on the next beetle knight world guides with Jim, but certain things like the next playable knight species and factions are already written and ready to go for this campaign!

About me

Hello Everyone! I'm Daria (She/Her), a trans RPG writer and GM from the Midwest (USA). You can find my work featured in the first two issues of Knock, as well as the upcoming Beetle Knight TTRPG. I've been playing TTRPG's since I was 7 years old, and been running weekly games for my family and friends since 2015. I have experience with a long list of TTRPG's, but my recurring favorites are Troika!, Mork Borg, Mausritter, and Mothership. My games here will almost always be held on Roll20, and tend to skew more towards an open world sandbox style of play. Horror also tends to be a consistent prominent theme in the games I run, as Monster/ Creature reveals are one of my personal specialties.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All you need to play is a Discord Account & a Roll 20 account.

What Daria brings to the table

As the main contributor of the beetle knight project, I designed 14/20 of the playable bug species, nearly all of the foes, the bug pantheon & over half of the random encounters for the Beetle Knight Core Rulebook & the Litterfall World Guide. I'm also currently helping design the upcoming world guides filling out the lands above and below litterfall. This means players will have 20 extra playable bug species to choose from, and may also adventure into these new experimental regions. This campaign also features additional foes who were cut from the core book to save space.
