About the adventure

Welcome to the Realms of Eberith, a rich homebrew world I've been crafting and running for over six years across multiple campaigns and countless adventures. This is classic fantasy with depth—where ancient Idols shape mortal destiny, political intrigue runs as deep as dungeon corridors, and your choices ripple across nations. The world stands at a crossroads. A mysterious cult claims to conjoin the Idols into something terrifying, testing the peace treaty that holds the nations of Glunvar together. The Kingdom of Itranor offers substantial rewards for information and even greater riches for those brave enough to take direct action. Meanwhile, cult activity festers in the Republic of Daemos, where political inaction may doom them all. Your story begins here. Whether you're guild-appointed adventurers, escapees from the notorious Xanthous Fortress, devout Divinators serving the Idols, or Pillars of Continuity under the Incarnate of Balance—we'll weave your backgrounds directly into the world's living history. Your personal goals and backstories won't just flavor the campaign; they'll drive its themes and direction. This is a living world where your actions have permanent consequences, not just for your characters but for future adventurers who'll inherit the world you help shape. Expect deep lore, meaningful cultural interactions, political maneuvering alongside classic dungeon delving, and gods who take active interest in mortal affairs. Every choice matters, every alliance shifts the balance of power, and every victory or defeat becomes part of Eberith's growing legend. The campaign blends freeform exploration with structured storytelling. You'll navigate complex political landscapes, uncover ancient mysteries, forge alliances with powerful individuals, and face the consequences of your actions. Combat is tactical and meaningful, but roleplay and investigation drive the narrative forward. Perfect for players who love: Rich worldbuilding, character-driven narratives, political intrigue mixed with classic adventure, meaningful consequences, and collaborative storytelling where your backstory becomes the campaign's foundation. About me

Hi! I'm Mabrouk (they/them), been GMing various TTRPGs for over 8 years now. I'm a worldbuilder at heart and tend to run games based on interlocking lore and histories. I love to build player immersion to the world by deeply connecting your characters to it, bringing the best roleplaying out of you naturally and comfortably. Character creation

Creating your character

Character sheets will be available through Roll20. Most rolling will be done there as well. Character creation will be over text or voice call (up to you) through discord, and I'll be always available for questions about the world and lore. Session 0 will have a part for character discussion if needed and I'll be there to fill anything that's missing. If you have a character ready beforehand we'll have a one-on-one discussion on how to involve them and their backstory into the world.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

A microphone and internet connection that's good enough for us to hear you is all that's required. The character sheet and rolling will be through Roll20. We will discuss if I can make things more comfortable.

What Mabrouk brings to the table

I'll be doing my best to make sure the experience is as smooth and comfortable as possible.

Homebrew rules

The rules are a tool that I shall bend towards a fun experience. While I'll do my best to maintain consistency, exceptions will occur. Priority is for whatever we agree on to be satisfying. - Fully homebrewed Ancestries specific for the world - Drink potion as bonus action, feed potion as action - End of combat, gain 1 exhaustion if fell to 0 hp - Many more that I don't remember...

Safety

How Mabrouk creates a safe table

We will be using a Discord server to share all documents, rules, discussions, homebrew, voice chat, and a dedicated channel for Lines and Veils to be easily viewed. X, N, & O's will be available and easily accessible in Roll20 as a deck that's always visible and the bottom right of the screen. During Session 0 we will: - Determine Lines and Veils (which can also be sent to me privately and updated at any time) - Discuss each player's valued themes and interests - Discuss nature of the game and possible character relationships I usually have a 10-minute break halfway through the session, and if I forget to do so or more breaks are needed I'm more than happy to accommodate. At the end of each session, we will have a quick discussion of Stars & Wishes, pointing out things each of us particularly enjoyed, and things we wish to see in the future. About the game system specifically: - Homebrew is welcome, though pass it by me first so that I can determine it is fair compared to the other players and for us to work together on involving it into the world's lore. If you're interested in something that doesn't exist, I may be able to make it myself. - I'm a very lenient DM and usually ignore the rules in favor of a smoother game, cool moments, and/or making situations make more sense. I don't enjoy debating rules and designer intentions, I want us to have fun. - I tend to favor a single, more impactful combat encounter rather than 4-5 small ones. I do employ multiple techniques to make combat faster, more reactive, and more interesting.
