Creating your character

I will allow any official D&D content (within reason, please flavor if it's from another setting). We have a way of wiggling in just about anything. Characters will be from a space-based version of the Forgotten Realms. I will provide Dark Matter character creation options; I encourage use of it and Valda's Spire of Secrets. The rest is character creation: ✅ Choose from 2014 or 2024 rules. ✅ Start at Level 2. ✅ Background feat from Level 1 (2024-style). You can customize your background. ✅ Use my custom array: 18, 17, 16, 13, 11, 8 (distribute in your choice of order) ✅ Choose one uncommon and two common magic items from any WotC source or Dark Matter/Valda's. ✅ Start with starting equipment AND starting money. ✅ You may choose from all races, classes, backgrounds, and other PC options in any officially released D&D 5e product as well as Dark Matter/Valda's Spire of Secrets. (see below for custom/homebrew/third-party/unearthed arcana). Want to just hop in, or get inspired for a character? Homebrew rules

🔹Smite is NOT a bonus action, and nor is it a spell. It operates more like 2014 smite, but you can only smite once a turn. 🔹Spiritual Weapon is not concentration. 🔹Grapple is a contested Athletics/Acrobatics roll (Athletics on the end of the character). 🔹Creative writing solutions are often rewarded with mechanical advantage.

🏳️‍🌈♾️👨🏾‍🦲 This is a safe table for people of all types. Dreams is trans and queer, Enigma is LGBTQIA+, and we are both neurodivergent. We hope to make a place where all can feel accepted, regardless of race, gender, beliefs. 👨🏾‍🦲♾️🏳️‍🌈 This campaign is a play-by-post format, which means that it's heavy on roleplay but also includes challenging combat and exploration. As a play-by-post (PBP) campaign, it's asynchronous and played only via text, with no voice or sessions. The game is played throughout the week and billed on a subscription basis. The speed of the campaign goes with the pace of the group, and I will post daily (except on weekends when I take a break). Players will get to experience the story and system while playing via text, and I and Dreams are always here to help. Safety tools will always be in effect; this game is a safe and inclusive place. We will use safety cards, Monte-Cooke consent form, lines and veils, and any other safety tools the group needs. Both Enigma and Dreams are neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+, and seek to provide a safe table for all players.
