About the adventure
The Abomination Vaults Adventure Path is primarily a massive dungeon crawl, where most of the game time will be spent on battle maps controlling tokens in or outside of combat. There will be times when the players return to Otari, the main hub outside the dungeon for the players to rest, buy equipment and role play with NPCs. We may also play Menace Under Otari as a little starter adventure but that will be decided at Session 0. A lot of the adventure is a bit of a mystery so expect to be piecing clues together as you go! For tone, I want to lean into the horror aspects a little bit, it's not going to be a full horror experience, but it will be a secondary focus of mine. I can run full nitty-gritty on travel logistics (where if you decide to perhaps rest in the dungeon, we track rations, ammunition), or we can skip past all that stuff and get straight to the dungeon crawl, the play style really depends on the group, though generally I try to avoid holding players' hands but giving them a nudge if it keeps things moving and keeps people from getting bored.

About me
Hello! I'm Sydney (or just Syd if you prefer) Im a trans woman that really loves TTRPGs!!! I'm a pretty chill gm that's in it for the cooperative storytelling angle, I like it most when systems take advantage of the medium of Table Top Role Playing! Other than that I've been running and playing TTRPGs for a little over 6 years now with a good amount of that being homebrew adventures and some of it being pre-written ones. Most of my hobbies involve table-top RPGs in one way or another (i.e. homebrew/tabletop game design stuff!) I have extensive Foundry experience, and I run most of my game on it, though Foundry knowledge is never a requirement for my games!
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
We'll have a session 0 where everyone can talk about what sort of characters they want to play, what role they want to have in the party, and what sort of connections they might have to each other and/or Otari! For character creation we'll be using Free Archetype, and Ancestral Paragon, other than that we may incorporate other rules, but that will be decided on Session 0 with everyone.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Make sure you have A Discord Account, a pair of headphones, a microphone, and a computer that can run chrome and a discord call at the same time at a reasonable speed.
What Syd brings to the table
Ill be providing the Adventure Path + any relevant books players may ask for, though i wont be running some books due to me just not owning them. I also will be providing Foundry VTT, mainly to ensure that combat goes smoothly as I find its the best program to run Pathfinder 2e for an online group.
Homebrew rules
At the start of a session, the player who finishes a recap automatically gains 1 free hero point, additionally, if a fortune effect or a hero point on a d20 roll rolls the same number twice it becomes a critical success. (or critical failure depending on if an enemy is making the check/save and not a player)

Safety
How Syd creates a safe table
We'll be employing X cards, the Monte Cooke checklist, Aftercare and breaks if tensions do get that high, but they really shouldn't. Even if this is an adventure with a good amount of horror themes it won't be particularly intense.
