About the adventure
🌳TL:DR🌳 Different peoples are mistrusting of each other, dangerous creatures inhabit the big magic Forest, and something more dangerous is arising. You've been selected to deal with all of it. Enjoy! 🌳Campaign Hook🌳 You've just been selected to join the Wardens. A unique group formed of Suncrest Guards from Solar and Sentinels from the People of the Forest. As you are now a representative of your people in this joint effort you must protect all from dangerous threats, while also doing your best to maintain peace between Solar and the People. Relations between Solar and The People have always been tense with the differing way of life and religious beliefs at the forefront. Your personal beliefs will be tested as you are confronted with and have to resolve various conflicts between these differing peoples. But public relations is not your main job. That is to deal with threats beyond the normal. Monsters and worse roam the Forest and occasionally wander too close to settled areas, or are too dangerous to be left alive, and you have to stop as many as you can. Frequently you will be asked to hunt them down deep within the Forest itself. And the deeper in you go the bigger the trees get and less sun you see, while the creatures you hunt become bigger and more dangerous. As you continue on your journey a new threat arises, one that puts the very Forest at risk of destruction. It will be up to you and your team of Wardens to track it down and stop it before it's too late. 🌳DM Comments🌳 For this world I asked myself what would happen if you replace the oceans of a world with forests? With each step the Forest gets deeper and deeper, all while growing taller and taller, with the creatures to match the size and depth where they live. And so I made a world, Laer'Obra, and this campaign is set to explore the depths of the Forest while also examining the different world views of the people that inhabit the forest and those that don't.

About me
I got into TTRPGs by first playing Open Legend and I fell in love with roleplaying characters, blasting baddies with magic, and exploring settings from our wildest imaginations! I quickly moved on to Dungeons & Dragons which it is still my favorite system. It didn't take long until I started Dungeon Mastering games and haven't looked back! Creating your character
Will we create characters in session 0 together. Each player will have to decide which nation they come from, Solar or The People of the Forest, and how they've been selected to join the Wardens. These will be the guiding points to help with building a backstory and any important NPCs for the character's. 🌳Character Creation Rules🌳 D&D 5e 2024 (2014 can be used unless there is a 2024 option) Point Buy or Standard Array Starting at Level 3 Starting Equipment or Starting Gold One (1) Common magic item from a select list One (1) Healing Potion 🌳More details for character creation as well as information about the world will be available in the games Google Drive folder and Roll20 after joining the game!

I also provide Compendium Access on Roll20 with numerous 5e books and resources for character creation and customization. We will also use Roll20 for maps, tokens, and handouts! There is a Discord server for all of us to chat and message during and between games to keep us all connected!
Homebrew rules
🌳Flanking grants Advantage on Attack Rolls. 🌳All potions can be and Action or Bonus Action. 🌳Health Potions grant max healing if used as an Action. 🌳It is an Action to feed a potion to another Character (they get max healing). 🌳Hit Dice on Level Up: If you roll a 1, roll again, if a second 1 total is now 2. 🌳Nat 20 on a Saving Throw is an automatic success.

Safety Tools will be discussed with the group during Session 0 🌳A ~10 minute break occurs approximately around the 2 hour mark when there is a good moment to pause in the game. 🌳Lines and Veils will be in a document in Roll20 for all to see once we've established our list in Session 0. This of course can be edited at any time as needed! 🌳Open Door. You are welcome to leave at any time for any reason, though I will check in on you to make sure everything is okay. 🌳X card is digital in Roll20.
