About the adventure
The Coming Storm is a D&D 5e 2024 campaign custom-written for the Player Characters, set in a larger-than-life fantasy world. This will be a long-running, ongoing campaign, meeting every other Tuesday. Players of all experience levels are welcome, and every table I run is Beginner and LGBTQIA+ Friendly. We will meet for an initial Session 0 to cover Table Expectations, Safety Tools, and to help with Character Creation if needed. During this Session 0, we will also have a small Collaborative World-Building exercise to allow the Players to help shape the world we'll all play in. The Coming Storm Campaign is set in an isolated Kingdom with war on the horizon. The Player Characters will take part in large-scale, epic combat, navigate tenuous political allyships, and play a pivotal role in the overall War Effort. About me
Let's tell some amazing stories together! My name is Daisy (she/her) and I'm a professional GM, artist, and writer. I have been running D&D and TTRPG campaigns for over 20 years and have been professionally GMing for over 2. I love handing over the reins of the story to my players and adjusting the story to whatever ideas they come up with. I always love to encourage my players to take agency of the story, and to be creative with their decisions and abilities! My tables are open to players of any experience level, and I'm always happy to teach new players. I am offering a variety of games at different timeslots, and while I only speak English, non-native English speakers are always welcome! Each of my games starts with an in-depth Session 0 to ensure player safety and cover table expectations. My games are custom-tailored to the characters my players come up with, incorporating unique NPCs, Locations, and Story Hooks. Creating your character
Players will begin the campaign at Level 2. We will cover full character creation details prior to Session 0, with time set aside during that session to help with any other questions.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will be sent a Consent Checklist that must be filled out and returned before Session 0. Sessions will be hosted over Discord Video/Voice call. I have a private Discord server set up to organize my professional games. You are not required to be on video for sessions, but you must have a working microphone for voice chat. Roll20 will be used for combat and maps. A private link to the campaign on Roll20 will be sent out through Discord. Players are free to use D&D Beyond, Pen and Paper, or whatever character sheet creation method they prefer, so long as they provide a copy to me before play.
What Daisy Stridinger (DnDaisies) brings to the table
I tailor every campaign I run to the character backgrounds, incorporating important NPCs, Locations, and Plot Hooks to engage my players in the story on a more personal level. I do my best to role-play each NPC fully, and provide custom regional maps to help players ground themselves in the story. During gameplay, I provide optional ambient music to enhance immersion for players who wish to listen in. We will discuss as a table how much we would like to embrace the Rule of Cool, however I always encourage my players to be creative with their spells and abilities. This campaign will also feature larger-scale combat and a "War Map" that the players will influence through their actions in the campaign.
