About the adventure
Humanity is cursed, host to a roiling psychic sea barely understood or controlled, a phenomenon arising purely from the darkest portions of the human soul. While most humans are blissfully unaware of its presence, others are more sensitive. When this power grows wild in these hosts because of traumatic events, SINS appear, terrifying supernatural monsters that are anathema to reality itself. CAIN is the solution, the global supranational shadow organization dedicated solely to the hunting and execution of sins. Exorcists are the tools of CAIN. All are offered a chance at redemption through unrelenting violence. Over and over again, the slaughter will not end until it is done. Is your hand your hand? Do you remember the face of your mother? Play CAIN if you want *To be a tool for an organization that doesn't care about you! * To face down horror born from human trauma that break reality itself! * To Wield powers that can eventually kill you! * To investigate the traces of mundane tragedy as you are haunted by supernatural forces! * To use your hard-earned rewards to buy things like the right to have cigarettes or have a window in your room!

About me
Hi! I am Lucas, I started playing ttrpgs with my father when I was 8, immediately falling in love with living adventures in imaginary lands. At 15, I started to DM for my high school friends and since then I have been a DM for approximately 20 years. During that time I learned that nothing brings me more joy than to guide a group of players into creating a shared story, while the dice bring in twists that no one could have imagined. Now I have achieved something I could have never dreamed about: I became a professional DM, and I can live of my greatest passion.

Creating your character
In session 0 we will create characters as a group. You may come up with a character concept in mind, but that concept should be open to change to accommodate to what other players make
What to expect
Preparing for the session
All you need to play is a working mic, an internet connection, a foundry free account, and a Discord account. Reading the rules is appreciated, but not necessary, I will teach you the rules as we create characters.
What Lucas Romero brings to the table
In this game, you can expect a focus on character development, open-ended conflicts that you will have to decide how to approach and resolve. Even if every hunt has a simple objective (destroy the Sin) characters will have to make choices about how they want to handle the devolving situation, what sacrifices they are willing to make, and what lines they are willing to cross. Even if most of the scenes will be played in a theater of the mind setting, this game will be run on foundry vtt to take advantage of the beautiful and practical interface created for Avatar CAIN by its fans, and the potential of Foundry´s shared journal notes, so that all players can quickly see all npcs, locations, factions, etc that they have encountered in their adventures, at any moment during the game.

How Lucas Romero creates a safe table
At session 0 players will be sent a consent checklist to mark what topics they may feel uncomfortable with. The example trigger warnings are things that could come up in play IF no one vetoes the topic in the consent checklist.
