About the adventure
The Order of Talimrid Protect and oversee the harvest protection, and distribution of Talimrid the Mystic Crystals that powers the technology of the Empire of Solace. Their code requires them to protect the resource and utilize it for the good of the Empire, yet not become involved in political or military elements of the Empire. When war comes to Solace from enemies seeking to gain control of the mystic crystals The paradox begins, how can the Order protect the Talimrid fields without joining the empire in war? A group of new recruits will shape the future of the Order as they travers the war torn nation, seeking information that might provide answers to the neutrality paradox, and conducting missions to protect the orders hold on the Talimrid Fields. With limited resources, and cut off from the unlimited potential of the Talimrid these brave adventures are the last hope if the order is to survive. This Campaign will be highly narrative focused, with elements of espionage and combat. Due to the nature of the setting, Spellcasters will receive some bonuses, but the order understand the importance of having agents with a variety of skill. Meet the Game Master
About me
HI, I'm Dave and I have been Playing TTRPG for most of my life, and GMing shortly after my first campaign. I enjoy most the horror aspect of TTRPGs and focus on those, although I also enjoy fantasy from time to time. I believe that this space is open to all, and intend to provide an open table to people from various walks of life. In addition to running games here I am a professional musician, and a streamer with Hangman's Gate RPG.

Creating your character
Before beginning the campaign we will have a session zero, where we can discuss what concepts everyone wishes to play, as well as rolling for stats. during this time in addition to going over lines and veil I will be able to provide information on character creation and provide access to the player's guide to anyone who needs it. I understand that there will be a lot of information to go over, and by then end of session zero while you might not have a complete character you will have all the information and resources to have completed the character by Session 1. During the week leading to the first session I will be available if anyone has any questions.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a free forge-vtt.com Account to access my foundry table, as well as the access code I will provide upon signing up. Additionally I will be using Discord voice servers to host the game, which I will also provide access to upon signing up.
What David brings to the table
I will be providing a custom homebrew world, accompanied by custom world and setting maps to provide clear understanding of the setting, If players so chose I can also provided links to a world anvil Wiki where they can explore additional elements of the world on their own. I will utilize music to set the mood, and fully functional foundry map, both personal created as well as some that I have purchased for use, that include interactive features and lighting. I will provide access to PDFs of the game material for those who do not have access to them including Players Handbook, and Adventurers Spellbook
Homebrew rules
For Magic Users: This can be discussed in further detail during session zero, but I use the MEPs System as detailed in the Castle Keepers Guide, with max first level roll each level thereafter as well as a lower difficulty spellcasting roll (just to limit the added power of access to Talmrid which can restore MEP points and be enchanted easily) For All: I will award 3 fate points per level and go over their uses. C&C is a much more deadly game that many other TTRPG systems and the fate points give PCs an edge to keep them in the game, since this is a narrative campaign I want to give you tools to keep you character alive throughout the story, but not fully remove the dramatic elements of risk.

Safety
How David creates a safe table
I take a common sense approach to Safety where I engage with player in meaningful ways to understand their needs and concerns. After each session I will spend 15+ minutes depending on the detail of the scenario to decompress and go over everyone's thought. This serves as a time to not only go over concerns but also gauge where people want the story to go in the future. If you have additional concerns I will make time to discuss one on one before our next session. Rather than a checklist I prefer players to direct message me any lines and veils they would prefer to talk about in private, and will create a journal entry in Foundry so that all banded subject matter can easily be accessed by all. I will go over the document in length during session zero and modify as needed during discussion at that time. I have the X-card extension in my Foundry and will make sure all players know how to use it, so cards can be sent to everyone anonymously
