About the adventure
A variety of dungeons are available for you and a group of like-minded individuals to party up and test your combat ability. Develop interesting strategies on the fly, learn to work with many different races and classes with a wild variety of spells and abilities. Each session ends with your XP, and other rewards. All are tracked by the DM on a player by player basis. Your loot belongs to you, spend it or bank it to spend on other characters. Revisit the dungeon with a new group, a new character or the same trusty old favourite that proves to be your deadliest character time and time again. The only continuity are the friendships you make along the way and the accumulated loot you acquire each session.

I host games for beginners and veterans alike and am currently running several campaigns that run at different paces.

Creating your character
We will be using a point buy system. Starting with a base stat of 10 and assigning 24 skill points, no stat above 18 before racial modifiers. The point spending are 1 to 1, no scaling. Using ONLY the core 3.5 players handbook for character creation initially, after a few sessions there will be options to use other content and even buy/add templates to new characters in game. All starter characters will begin play at level 5. The first session will begin directly with combat. Character sheets will be submitted Via Discord in the Character Introduction Channel and will be reviewed by the DM the day before the session.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Fully prepared character sheet. The challenge facing the players will be posted in the discord 2 days before the session starts. We use discord (link provided), ensure the microphone and camera are working (cam on the dice rolls if requested).
What Ryan Smith brings to the table
What You will get: Player resources for character creation including the core rulebooks, digital character sheets, Discord Server access, Full Battle-Maps / Encounter, Customized Character tokens, Character Voices, Ambient music (background). Interesting custom Villains and huge variety of Monsters, different battle-maps locations to keep things exciting and fresh each session. Fully created dungeons with the goal of creating gameplay that is tactical and fun. Important: My goal is to generate the content you want to play. The discord server has a suggestion/comment channel where players can drop their thoughts and wishes about upcoming sessions. Feel free to suggest specific monsters/situations or environments that would make an exciting battle for you and your allies. I will do my best to incorporate appropriate content that does not violate the terms set forward in session zero.
Homebrew rules
Wizards and casters have no need of the Eschew Materials Feat. Max HP at every level to give players better survivability. Stat rolls are more elite (5D6 remove lowest 2 die) for above average stats.

Safety
How Ryan Smith creates a safe table
Normally a session 0 is the way to start, but in this game the rules for the combat heavy sessions will be laid out in the discord server which members are expected to read. Players will be asked prior to the session to ensure they have read and understood the rules. There we will outline what the campaign setting includes (Monsters, Events, Theme) and have people share (in private if necessary) their individual preferences AFTER having read what is already established in the campaign notes including the Lines and Veils. As the game length is short we will try to avoid breaks in a 1 hour game though a 2 hour session would have a break at halftime. Good debriefing practices to ensure that future sessions allow everyone to feel safe as well as ensure the content is engaging. We will use X,N, and O cards and do a session review to make sure everything is moving forward in everyone's comfort zone. Note: A combat heavy game may seem straight forward but all of the rules for respectable play apply.
