About me

I've been living in fantasy worlds since I was in middle school and my brother and I began buying D&D AD&D and 3.5e books from our local used bookstore. Although I didn't start playing until high school and didn't start running games until after college I poured over resource books, made characters, crafted encounters, and dreamed up stories of far away lands. I ran the open play store game for the comic shop I worked at after undergrad meaning that flexibility and improv in story telling had to be the first skills I honed. Any amount of players could show up on a given night and allowing for story to be meaningful to those that were at the table was of utmost importance. After my time at the store I took a little break during an out of state move but quickly picked DMing back up once new friends were made. My current group has been together since 2018 and we've journeyed through home brew worlds and adjusted pre-made modules. My free time is spent walking my dog, a Shiba Inu named Aiko, or cuddling with my two Sphynx cats, Giorno and Lisa Lisa. I also dance whenever possible at Book Club Radio in NYC and am hoping to get into a Master's in Theological Studies program at Duke.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

The game will use Roll20 for map and display purposes. Voice & Video will occur via a google meet link provided by the GM.

What Antoine brings to the table

For my single session adventures a looser "rule of cool" style of play is encouraged in order to fit a session into 3 hours of play. My goal is that you finish the session saying "What great fun I just had! I want to do it again!"

Safety

How Antoine creates a safe table

The X, N, and O cards are the simplest and quickest way to give a player power in a single session adventure. If there's anything that you feel you don't want dived into a message prior to the session is encouraged, otherwise we'll start play and allow players to show the a card should anything come up. Stars and Wishes will ideally occur at the end of session, but if it can't be done in person a follow up message will be sent asking for feedback!
