About the adventure

Welcome to Phandalin, a frontier town where coin, secrets, and danger travel the same road. You’re hired for a simple delivery, but loose ends lead to goblin raids, bandit schemes, and forgotten ruins. Track the missing, bargain with wary locals, and decide who earns your trust as rival forces close in on a buried legacy. Expect exploration, tense roleplay, tactical fights, and choices that reshape the region—starting with one job that spirals fast. Great for new heroes, deep for veterans. In addition to Lost Mine of Phandelver, this campaign also weaves in content from Dragon of Icespire Peak—expanding the region with additional jobs, locations, and threats. Your party can pursue these hooks alongside the main mystery, creating a broader sandbox of choices, side quests, and escalating dangers around Phandalin and the Sword Mountains. 🎶 Syrinscape soundscapes + SFX for immersion — curated ambience, scene moods, and music layered with punchy SFX (spells, steel, monsters, and environment cues) to give each location and encounter a distinct feel. 🗺️ Cinematic FGU maps & visuals — stock module maps plus my own custom builds and premium Inkarnate community maps, presented with adaptive lighting, fog of war, and live weather/filters to make exploration feel tense and alive. ⚙️ FGU automation for fluid play — streamlined initiative, targeting, saves, damage, conditions, and spell/effect tracking so combats run faster, cleaner, and with fewer pauses. 🧩 Integrated character backstories* — your background is woven into the campaign world, with personal hooks, NPC ties, and past choices that can return in meaningful ways. 🌱 Beginner-friendly by design — patient teaching, rules support on demand, and help with Fantasy Grounds controls so new players can feel confident and have fun from session one. 🧾 Optional pre-generated heroes — jump in instantly with ready-to-play characters that have built-in backgrounds, personality hooks, and campaign ties (or bring your own if you prefer). ✨ …and more — surprises, upgrades, and table polish I’m always improving as the campaign grows. * Note: Integrated character backstories unlock after the 2-session trial period.

About me

I’m Thomas—“Tidal”—a story-first, rules-solid 5e Dungeon Master with 2,000+ hours in Fantasy Grounds Unity. I run cinematic sessions with clean automation, strong pacing, and immersive audio. I’m also a sound designer and musician, so music, soundscapes, and SFX match the mood of every scene. I can teach FGU navigation and help troubleshoot issues fast. I build character-driven side quests and tune difficulty to the table. New players welcome; veterans challenged. You’ll know your options—always

Character creation

Creating your character

Character Creation Guidelines We will build your character using the character wizard in Fantasy Grounds. I am open to reasonable homebrew character. Starting Level: 2 All new characters begin at level 2

The current party

Current party composition is: * Gnome Evoker Wizard * Dwarf Totem of the Beast Barbarian * Air Genasi Way of the Lightning Monk (homebrew subclass) * Goliath Twilight Cleric The table is currently 4/6 players, so there are 2 seats open. For introducing your character, I would bring you in near where the party currently is so it feels natural to the story. Right now the party is in Tresendar Manor, which is occupied by the Redbrand Ruffians. The Redbrands have been causing trouble in Phandalin, intimidating locals, murdering people, and trying to tighten control over the village. Their leader is a red mage named Iarno “Glasstaff” Albrek, and the party is currently pursuing him. A simple intro option is that your character is being held somewhere in the manor, and we can figure out together why the Redbrands captured you or how you ended up there. We can also keep it loose and work it out together if you prefer.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

(Discord & Fantasy Grounds Unity Sessions) 🎧 1.
